Golden Circle Apartments

The apartments are in the perfect location to explore the Golden Circle sights and the town they are in has a couple of nice restaurants to use. However, the apartment we were in was desperately in need of renovation. Some stuff was aesthetic - like cracked tiles or dead flies smushed in the window blinds - which I suppose isn’t too big a deal really. But some stuff was more serious and affected our enjoyment of our stay. The bathroom was particularly bad - the shower head was broken so that you had to hold the shower and shower with one hand. My husband managed to rig it up temporarily with a shower curtain hook but we were so worried it would fall down, it made showering quite stressful! Also the flush on the toilet kept jamming so that the cistern would keep filling up and would have flooded the bathroom if we didn’t manually stop it after each use, which was also stressful. The apartment clearly just hasn’t been renovated for some time. I’ve just seen reviews a few weeks before us which list the same thing, and also I messaged the owner. So clearly they are aware - hopefully this means that they will fix things so that this isn’t an issue for future guests.

This was my second time staying at the Golden Circle Apartments and I will come back for sure. The apartments are both clean and cozy. Location is perfect and the prize is very fair. Highly recommended.

L'appartement est spacieux mais sale : poussières sous les meubles. Le ménage ne doit pas être fait souvent. Applique du meuble vasque cassée dans les bains. Ampoule défectueuse dans le luminaire des bains. Visiblement pas de maintenance dans cet appartement. Décevant pour cet établissement qui se donne des airs de luxe. Je ne recommande pas!

Geräumige Zimmer mit kleiner Küche, perfekt für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt. Leider waren die Zimmer zu Beginn nicht ganz sauber und ein paar Sachen hatten gefehlt, aber nach einem kurzem Telefonat kam sofort jemand und hat sich das angeschaut und behoben. Somit war es für uns insgesamt super!
