We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

we came here from phi phi to a beach bungalow so i was expecting something very beautiful. we checked in and a buggy took us to our bungalow, however the bungalow was fine on first glances., lovely outdoor shower, it was a big room bed was on like a wooden platform so we found it difficult to get on and off we are both in our 60s. view was lovely over the pool to the sea. the bungalow outside was a bit tired could do with some TLC the grounds to the resort were full of leaves no one seemed to bother cleaning them up. breakfast was just carnage if you wanted noodles etc not a problem but anything remotely English all the hot plates were empty first morning we couldn't even get a table so we abandoned it, second morning we went a bit earlier 8.30 and we did manage to sit down but no hot food so we got toast and boiled egg but these wasn't cooked properly so just left tried to speak to someone about it but not enough staff so didn't bother with breakfast again. there seems to be a few new buildings to this hotel so maybe they have more rooms than there is dining tables. we were only here for 4 nights so it wasn't really an issue for us we just went to one of the beach shacks. outside the hotel was lots of eating and shops very well located so always ate out. around the pool there is a culture where everyone puts towels on beds at 6.30-7 am so by 8 am no beds left this is a pet hate of mine that's why we don't holiday in Europe so i was furious when i saw this. we did end up in a row first morning over the beds but the pool guy sorted it for us. all in all we enjoyed our time in Khaolak but on reflection we would not use this hotel again it just didn't suit us

El hotel es hermoso Es muy rápido llegar a la isla Similan, no es necesario levantarse demasiado temprano. Puedes quedarte en el hotel. Hay un spa y happy hour. Hay varias excursiones de un día Muy, muy recomendable para alimentar a los elefantes y darles un baño. No hay muchos asiáticos en este hotel. Los camareros necesitan comunicarse en inglés.

It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

Nous avons séjourné pour la 2ème fois dans ce resort qui est un véritable paradis pour les enfants. Nous avions nos 2 pts enfants (8 et 10 ans) avec nous et à leur arrivée dans la chambre ils ont trouvé celle-ci très ”classe” (il y avait un toboggan pour descendre du lit superposé en haut). C'est un resort tout à fait adapté pour les familles avec des enfants, beaucoup de jeux aquatiques, des piscines leur sont réservées. Nous avions une gde chambre pour nous 4 avec une cloison coulissante pour avoir un peu d'intimité. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très varié et chacun trouve de quoi se régaler aussi bien en nourriture asiatique qu'internationale. Le personnel est adorable et très serviable. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 10 mn à pied de la rue très commerçante avec beaucoup de restaurants. Nous avions réservé une navette privée pour les transferts depuis et vers l'aéroport de Phuket, tout s'est très bien passé. A la fin de la semaine, nos petits enfants nous ont demandé pourquoi nous ne restions pas une 2ème semaine, c'est dire s'ils ont aimé. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir une 3ème fois .

Eso debe verse cuando vine con mi familia para mostrarles una gran propiedad pero estaba muy molesto cuando vine aquí .

Perfect as always I want double room but somehow i got twins room but no complaints coz i was sleeping so well haha

A lot of negatives and positives . Negatives felt bigger, but overall quite a nice place and hence my rating. There was a real issue with sun pool/beach bed capacity. Just nowhere near enough at the beach and loads of *****s would go down very early to reserve them with towels or items. So you have to do the same. Beds and towels became way too short in supply and people were missing out. On one particular occasion my wife and I found two beds with no towels, after lunch and took possession and then about half an hour later a very aggressive guest came at us telling us to F off (at the top of his voice in front of kids) and threatening physical violence against me. Never known anything like it. Luckily, especially in light of recent chemo, I remained calm. Everyone around us with families was horrified. What did management do? Mmmmmm not huge amount. Very nice and calm and friendly and really genuinely liked Samer, but I saw the ***** who was aggressive wandering around the next two days with no cares in the world. I suspect he was big spender ?Totally unacceptable and I am considering what other courses of action I can take. Unreal. Aside from that, there was total mix of families and couples on the beach. Handy hint : have family area and couples area, particularly in the evening. An adults area with a bar and music was much desired and would, I assure you, increase revenue! The room was pretty good. Think there was a faint whiff in room of ´old’ but the bed was great and bathroom decent enough, though not sure what this sliding doors between bedroom and bathroom thing is all about? The swimming pools were pleasant enough, but such s terrible lack of capacity. The adult pool had literally 10 chairs around it and the main pool like 20?? I mean, that’s insane. You need more capacity, that’s obvious. I thought the restaurants were good enough. Not wow. Though the Xmas day buffet was brilliant. Getting table outside was always an issue if not reserved , until families had got done and you could eat later. Fine, but time zone issues often mean you want to eat at perhaps earlier times but this was tricky. Resort looks good and the beach is very nice. Just as I said, not enough chairs and I was threatened with physical violence for the first time on holiday due to that. Not good enough. Samer, as I said was very nice but they didn’t give us anything, not even a fruit platter or something as a gesture and to be wary of being attacked while wandering around a resort is not how I wanted to spend the last few days of my holiday. So, overall, a nice break. Weather good, friendly staff. Prices ok. But too many negatives for me to think I would ever return.

We stayed for five nights at Hotel Gahn during our stay in Khao Lak. It is a very attractive hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The king sized bed was firm but very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor in a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the pool below. Small, but lovely pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Down the street, a short walk away, are restaurants, convenience stores and the night market. This hotel is on the main road and as such we could hear the traffic in our room, even though our room faced to the south overlooking the side roads. It wasn’t terrible but you could definitely hear it. The traffic was quieter after midnight but it started again around 6 am. We had sliding doors to our balcony which were not sealed well so the traffic noise was pretty much the same in our room as it was sitting on the balcony. But we managed to sleep well at night despite the noise. Our stay included complimentary breakfast every day. The selection included one choice of three mains - eggs (cooked to your specs) and two Asian dishes. There was white and brown bread for toast, jam, some cereals, fruit, a few more Asian dishes, juice, coffee and milk. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Pullman Khao en Kappa club Points positifs Hôtel récent à conseiller pour celles et ceux qui cherchent le calme et la décontraction, les chambres sont grandes et modernes avec, pour notre part (chambre 1512), une vue magnifique vue sur la mer d’Andaman et les couchers de soleil. La restauration est « consensuelle » et certains diront qu’il n’y pas assez de plat Thaï et pas de vin prévu dans le « All in » mais de notre point de vue on mange très bien au Pullman. Nous avons apprécié la taille du resort, pas trop grand et pas trop petit non plus avec une belle piscine et son bar. L’occupation des sunbeds est régulièrement contrôlé par le personnel de l’hôtel ce qui permet de trouver des places libres à toute heure de la journée. Ce que nous avons préféré : la gentillesse du personnel, les Thaï sont adorables en toutes circonstances et je recommande cet hôtel. Coté animation, nous avons eu la chance d’être au Kappa club ce qui apporte un véritable plus et qui agrémente le séjour au Pullman. Au passage je remercie l’équipe au complet : Nathan, Nicolas, Paul, Maelys et Toey Points « négatifs » ou points à améliorer Nous aurions apprécié un minibar dans la chambre avec soft et bières. La carte des cocktails est un peu restreinte et proposer des cocktails basiques comme le whisky-coca ou rhum-coca ou vodka-orange avec les mêmes alcools utilisés dans la carte « All in » serait un plus pour les vacanciers. En Conclusion, établissement à choisir pour de bonnes vacances paisibles.

We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

A pesar de ser un largo camino fuera de Khao Lak, (uno de los últimos hoteles, 15 minutos fuera) vale la pena ir a la distancia extra. También dio opciones para el nivel de picazón para la comida tailandesa. Tengo una herida y el checkout tardío hasta las 6:00 me ofrecieron fue un bono final. Recomendación muy recomendada

La habitación está muy confusa. Me gusta el espejo mucho. Claramente separada la zona, es decir, cada zona que se separa en la puerta si quiere bloquearla. Pero si no está cerrada, es a través de la otra. Las instalaciones son muy completas. Le recomiendo que se quede bien.

Stayed here from 4th - 11th April recently for a family wedding which took place just up the coast on Natai beach at a villa. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was in the surrounding area to the main hotel complex. My understanding is the hotel have acquired these villas which were part of another complex and recently joined them to the hotel. The outside area was beautiful with gorgeous flowers and plants and cute paths leading straight to the beach. The room was very spacious with great air con and facilities were good - although we did not have a balcony we had sun chairs brought to our room so we could sit outside. Room was cleaned well and fresh towels, tea, coffee and water etc every day. Only downside was the bed which was uncomfortably hard although enormous! Missing in the main room was a mirror but this was fixed when we asked for one - a full length mirror was brought to our room which was a necessity to enable me to style my hair. The hotel pool which backs onto the stunning beach was a gorgeous spot to sit with a lovely breeze from the sea and looked so pretty as sunset drew in with beautiful tree lights. There is one main restaurant where breakfast is served which backs right onto the beach. It was uncomfortably hot inside - could do with fans to make the dining experience more comfortable. As the surrounding area is extremely quiet you need to taxi out to local restaurants, the hotel restaurant menu was quite limited although most of the meals we ate both during lunch and dinner were lovely although a bit repetitive. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and we enjoyed this very much. There are kayaks, surfboards you can hire from the beach hit by the beach and table tennis/boules also. Pool/beach towels are readily available from here too. In all, a lovely hotel in a stunning location on the most beautiful beach. A great get away from it all hotel for the perfect beach retreat holiday. Would definitely return to this hotel if I was in this area again.

Overall service was good - Hotel transfer service was reliable (including airport transport and to other attractions). Food was good except for the seafood barbecue buffet dinner (the seafood was not fresh and most dishes were not hot enough). Prices for local tours arranged through the resort were unreasonable higher than average, it’s like doubling/tripling the average price. Some of the restaurant staffs could not understand very simple English which makes ordering difficult. Waiting time for the food was unreasonably long (almost an hour). The staff at the Kids Club was super nice and patient, my son had a great time there making art work. If they could have some scheduled activities with more variety, it would be better. Wi-Fi in our villa was very unstable and the staff could not fix it. When we checked in, there were not enough towels in our villa and toiletries didn’t get refilled. On some days, the staff missed cleaning our villa.

Nos planeamos conducir a Phuket desde Surat Thani y decidimos quedarse aquí durante la noche y ir a Phuket la mañana siguiente. El alojamiento es grande con diseño elegante y alta calidad. No hay nevera en la habitación pero puedes usar la nevera en la zona común. Había un gran sueño de noche. No podía haber pedido más. Hay algunas comidas justo al lado de ella también. 10/10

El hotel está envejeciendo y las instalaciones de hardware son adecuadas. La mayoría de las vacaciones son muy tranquilas en la playa. El mar es más bonito. La desventaja es que no hay muchos lugares para comer en el entorno. El campesino de Tailandia puede comer en el hotel. El hotel es más caro.

Las instalaciones del hotel son increíbles, la privacidad, la tranquilidad, las espectaculares vistas de la bahía de Phang Nga... El personal fue súper amable, al ser un hotel selecto con pocas habitaciones personalizaron mucho nuestra estancia, y tuvieron muchos detalles para nosotros y para el resto de huéspedes. En total, pasamos dos noches: la primera fue en una villa espectacular con piscina privada y vistas alucinantes, y para la segunda noche teníamos una habitación estándar contratada (que está súper bien y la piscina compartida y zonas comunes son también una pasada!), pero como sabían que era nuestra luna de miel tuvieron el gran detalle de hacernos un upgrade con jacuzzi privado al tener disponibilidad! Los desayunos, las comidas y las cenas estaban muy bien presentadas y eran abundantes, además de contar con un restaurante precioso y muy bien decorado y unos cócteles de 10! Nos hicieron la estancia única, especial y de ensueño y siempre les llevaremos en el corazón. Si buscáis relax y trato exquisito, esto es lo más parecido al paraíso! Tened en cuenta que el hotel está pensado para quedarse relajado ahí, no para ir saliendo y entrando. Eso sí, no dudéis en contratar un long tail trip, es de lo mejor!

Total y absolutamente increíble... una de nuestras estancias favoritas en cualquier parte del mundo. Sorpresa de aniversario de bodas de 2 noches para mi esposo y decoraron la cama con cosas del jardín y la hicieron lucir hermosa. Las villas con piscina son enormes e impresionantes, tan tranquilas y privadas que apenas nos movimos de allí porque era increíble. El área de la piscina principal y la playa también eran hermosas, y sentarse en el restaurante con vista a la piscina y la playa al atardecer fue perfecto. Todo el personal es tan encantador y dulce. El gimnasio era genial y tenía todo lo que necesitaba, correr y andar en bicicleta en la zona es fantástico. Se quedará aquí de nuevo seguro. La mejor decisión de venir aquí.

La habitación es bastante grande limpia, el hotel es increíble. La decoración se siente como en Europa. Altamente recomendado para visitar. El empleado aquí es muy agradable. Me gusta realmente la vista de la piscina frente a la habitación realmente fría.

we came here from phi phi to a beach bungalow so i was expecting something very beautiful. we checked in and a buggy took us to our bungalow, however the bungalow was fine on first glances., lovely outdoor shower, it was a big room bed was on like a wooden platform so we found it difficult to get on and off we are both in our 60s. view was lovely over the pool to the sea. the bungalow outside was a bit tired could do with some TLC the grounds to the resort were full of leaves no one seemed to bother cleaning them up. breakfast was just carnage if you wanted noodles etc not a problem but anything remotely English all the hot plates were empty first morning we couldn't even get a table so we abandoned it, second morning we went a bit earlier 8.30 and we did manage to sit down but no hot food so we got toast and boiled egg but these wasn't cooked properly so just left tried to speak to someone about it but not enough staff so didn't bother with breakfast again. there seems to be a few new buildings to this hotel so maybe they have more rooms than there is dining tables. we were only here for 4 nights so it wasn't really an issue for us we just went to one of the beach shacks. outside the hotel was lots of eating and shops very well located so always ate out. around the pool there is a culture where everyone puts towels on beds at 6.30-7 am so by 8 am no beds left this is a pet hate of mine that's why we don't holiday in Europe so i was furious when i saw this. we did end up in a row first morning over the beds but the pool guy sorted it for us. all in all we enjoyed our time in Khaolak but on reflection we would not use this hotel again it just didn't suit us

Отель состоит из двух корпусов. Тот что ближе к морю, постарше. Мебель уставшая, темновато в номере. Через дорогу-поновее. Номера с выходом иои видом на бассейн. Все отлично! Очень хорошие завтраки. Море рядом. Несколько бассейнов. Из минусов-в очень немногих номерах лесенки в бассейн. У нас не было. Неудобно вылазить из бассейна, можно подскользнуться. Подушки очень высокие и твёрдые. Я так и не нашла для себя удобную, хотя их четыре. В ванне очень мало геля и шампуня(наливают по запросу по одной маленькой бутылочке). Кондиционера для волос нет. Одно маленькое мыльце.

Our stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.
