Capital A has announced its 4Q24 and full-year 2024 operational results, demonstrating strong growth across aviation, logistics, and digital services despite operating below full capacity. Aviation: Passenger Growth & Fleet Expansion ✈ AirAsia carried 63 million passengers in 2024 with an 89% load factor, achieving 84% of pre-pandemic capacity. ✈ The active fleet reached 205 aircraft out of 224 total, with 14 aircraft reactivated and 10 new aircraft added (9 A321neo, 1 A320). ✈ Q4 performance: Over 16 million passengers flown, a 9% year-on-year increase, with an 88% load factor. Teleport: Record Cargo & E-commerce Growth 📦 295,926 tonnes of cargo handled in 2024, up 44.5% year-on-year. 📦 79.9 million e-commerce parcels delivered, marking 92% year-on-year growth. 📦 Q4 cargo volume hit 85,950 tonnes (+33% YoY), the highest-ever quarterly figure. AirAsia MOVE : Strengthening the Digital Ecosystem 📲 16% quarter-on-quarter growth in Monthly Active Users (MAU). 📲 AirAsia Flights transactions up 17% QoQ, hotel bookings surged 46% QoQ. 📲 Strengthening its OTA positioning, with AI-driven enhancements and platform optimisation planned for 2025. Operational Highlights Across Business Units 🔧 Asia Digital Engineering (ADE): Completed 22 base maintenance checks in Q4 (+10% YoY), with 12,700+ line maintenance checks completed in 2024. 🍛 Santan: Expanded into the Ready-to-Eat market, serving 19.7 million meals (+53% YoY). 💳 BigPay : 1.6 million card users, with enhanced cross-border remittance services. 🎒 Abc. (AirAsia brand co.): Launched AirAsia x American Tourister’s Funseekers Collection and further developed AirAsia Buds IP for future licensing. With ongoing fleet expansion and digital innovation, Capital A is well-positioned for further operational growth in 2025, unlocking new efficiencies and revenue streams across its ecosystem.
