Last week, the Philip Kotler Hall at UPM's School of Business & Economics buzzed with excitement as over 100 final-year students gathered for Meet Your Future Mentors, a mini expo event co-organised by UPM CiRNeT and the InvestKL Talent Programme. Graced by the presence of Dr. Ir. BT Hang Tuah Baharudin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations), and Prof. Madya Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin, Dean of the School of Business & Economics, the event featured a dynamic panel of industry leaders. There was a forum, 2 Career Ready Clinics and Mini Career Fair in the expo. Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli (CEO, InvestKL), Mr. Sunil Rajamony FCCA, CMIIA, CIA (Global Business Services Director, Huntsman Corporation), Mr. Karthik Jeyaram (Country Manager, SRKay Consulting Group), and Ms. May F. SUCCESSFUL INDUSTRY LEADERS FORUM AT UPM: INSIGHTFUL CAREER CHAT FOR STUDENTS Serdang, 5 December 2024 – The “Career Chat with Leaders” forum, held at Philip Kotler Hall, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), brought together prominent industry leaders and students in an engaging session that focused on career insights, industry leadership, and future-ready skills. The forum featured key speakers from various industries: May F., Site Lead for Global Business Services (AkzoNobel) Karthik Jeyaram, Country Manager for Malaysia & Singapore (SRKay Consulting Group) Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli, Chief Executive Officer (InvestKL) Sunil Rajamony FCCA, CMIIA, CIA, Global Business Services Director (Huntsman Corporation) The session was moderated by Eizaz Azhar, Director of Strategy and Partnerships from the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI). The leaders shared their experiences with global business challenges, innovative leadership, and the skills needed to excel in a competitive job market. Students gained valuable knowledge about career progression, industry expectations, and personal development strategies directly from these professionals.
