Today’s event featured an inspiring lineup of speeches, beginning with a welcome address by Tuan Ir. Dr. Badrulzaman bin Jaafar, Director of the Landscape Department. This was followed by a speech by Tuan Mohammad Nizar Idris, Chairman of MCIS Life, and an opening address by YB Tuan Haji Mohamad Zahri bin Haji Samingon, Mayor of Petaling Jaya. The highlight of the day was the Official Launch of the ‘Tree-Planting Program: Towards a Greener Petaling Jaya with MCIS Life’, complemented by an engaging terrarium workshop, a mini landscape-building competition, MBPJ Trail Endurance Series Finale, a colouring competition, paintball competition and more. Following the launch, representatives from MBPJ and MCIS Life commenced the tree-planting ceremony. The first tree was jointly planted by YB Tuan Haji Mohamad Zahri bin Haji Samingon, MCIS Life Chairman Tuan Mohammad Nizar Idris, and Tuan Ir. Dr. Badrulzaman bin Jaafar. This was followed by additional plantings led by MCIS Life CEO Prasheem Seebran, along with the company’s top management and employees. Members of the public also contributed enthusiastically by planting trees and shrubs, while many visited the MCIS Life Purple Truck for complimentary health screenings. The activities of the day showcased the success of Petaling Jaya’s green initiatives, led by MBPJ, and highlighted a collective commitment to sustainability by MCIS Life. 🌟 MCIS Life Proudly Supports Relay for Life Malaysia 2024 🌟 The Relay for Life Malaysia made a triumphant return this year, uniting communities to celebrate cancer survivors, honour those we've lost, and strengthen the fight against cancer. Her Royal Highness Tuanku Zara Salim, the Raja Permaisuri Perak Darul Ridzuan, graced the opening at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, lending her unwavering support to this inspiring cause. This year’s event was a beautiful blend of hope, remembrance, and action: ✨ Luminaria Ceremony: A moving tribute to honour loved ones affected by cancer. ✨ Survivors Step Up Challenge: Cancer survivors showcased their determination in a fun step-count competition. ✨ Relay Day Highlights: A 5km fun run, treasure hunts, relay races, carnival games, and complimentary cancer screenings by the MCIS Life Purple Truck fostered unity and awareness. We are honoured to have received the Community Partner plaque from the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) in appreciation of our continuous support for Relay for Life Malaysia. This recognition strengthens our commitment to raising awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
