Minconsult recently hosted the Minconsult Maestro Lecture, led by Ir. Ts. Hj Mohamed Haniffa bin Hj Abdul Hamid, Chairman of the Minconsult Advisory Council for Technology & Innovation. The hybrid event brought together board members and council members at the P. Ganendra Memorial Library and via MS Teams. Ir. Ts. Hj Mohamed Haniffa delivered an insightful talk titled "Water & Sanitation – What’s Next? A Practitioner’s Perspective," emphasizing the value of water, challenges in sanitation and wastewater management, and the importance of sustainable solutions to address water scarcity. The lecture also highlighted Malaysia’s advancements in water governance while stressing the need for continued progress. A lively Q&A session further enriched the discussion, reflecting the relevance of the topic. We thank Ir. Ts. The delegation also met with the Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) to gain insights into Malaysia’s toll highway management, covering planning, design, project management, and operations. Dr. Dennis Ganendra, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), contributed a video message, emphasizing the strong ties between the UK and Malaysia in engineering and education.   His involvement alongside prominent figures highlighted the importance of collaboration in these fields, reinforcing education as a key pillar in fostering bilateral relations. This year, Ir. Ts. Syahmizzi Ifwat Azharnim has been elected as the representative for the 30 to 40 age group, while Nur Umairah Sofiya Asfanizam was chosen to lead the under-30s group. Both were selected through a voting process, reflecting the confidence their peers have in their ability to represent their respective groups.   These leaders will spearhead initiatives designed to enhance collaboration and communication among employees.
