🔥 GrillFest: sharing secrets to what makes a Nando's Gold Standard PERi-PERi Chicken 🔥   Flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken - it's what makes Nando's, Nando's. After 26 years in Malaysia, it's about time we shared what makes a Gold Standard Nando's chicken. You've all heard about our Master Griller competition but Grill Fest is a way for us to share with everyone just how serious we actually are about flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken. 🐔 We put 4 lucky loyal Nando's fans to the master grilling test and judged them just the same way - from grill marks and browning to temperature and juiciness - the 10 judging sections left our fans stunned. They got hands on experience at the heat and heart of a Nando's grill. ❤️ After just 1 hour of getting familiar with the tools and heat our 4 fans competed like seasoned grilling pros!   Congratulations to Johann, our first ever GrillFest champ! 🏆 He showed some serious skill on the grill and got a pretty high score too!   A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made GrillFest possible! 🔥International Grillers' Challenge – We take our chickens so seriously that we send our people to compete overseas🔥   Griller is its own position in Nando's, a step up from normal restaurant crew - after all, it's the people who make the chicken that matters.   Every year Nando's holds a competition to find the (Nando's) world's best griller - Master Griller - to ensure we serve Gold Standard Chicken wherever we are in the world. This year, the international competition was held in breathtaking Botswana with pit stops in South Africa and Zambia. You can bet our Malaysian and Singaporean grillers were chuffed to have 2 full pages stamped on their first ever passports on their first international trip! While our amazing Nando’s Malaysia and Singapore Grillers didn’t bring home the trophy this time, they’ve returned with something far more special – memories, soft skills and friendships that will last a lifetime! The warmth and hospitality of the SA and Botswana team truly made them feel part of the global Nando’s family. ❤️   This journey wasn’t just about honing their grilling skills; it was about building their confidence, bringing them out of their shells, making new friends and soaking up an (almost) once in a life time experience - lets be honest, how many of us can say we've been on an African safari? - most of all they experienced what it truly means to be a Nandoca.
