Delighted to share with you that I had received this amazing opportunity to be invited as a panellist in a panel discussion titled AI, Sustainability and Business Education as part of the inaugural virtual PRME Chapter ASEAN+ Responsible Management Education Conference 2024. The discussions revolved around how AI can play a transformational role in augmenting sustainability knowledge and business education and its associated challenges and opportunities. I participated in the panel discussion in my personal capacity as a past student representative representing PRME Global Students (PGS) and not representing my organization. I contributed my perspective as a student representative who has had first hand experience of witnessing this innovation during my masters education and how it changed the way students learn and will potentially learn in the future. I elaborated on how Gen-AI tools, if used correctly, can help improve one’s sustainability knowledge by making it truly interactive and personalized. I also emphasized on the worries that youth have with AI today, typically surrounding environmental, ethical and social concerns which need to be continuously addressed as the technology matures and is applied to more and more real life use cases. I was fortunate to learn from the deep domain expertise and experience of my esteemed co-panellists who brought diverse and informed perspectives to the discussions from their unique personal experiences. The experience and diversity of the panel made the discussions truly holistic and comprehensive. Co-Panellists: Janet Uy | Benito "Ben" Teehankee | Mandisa Mndela Thank you to the moderator Professor Nelson Guillen for seamlessly driving the panel discussion and reinforcing the key messages. The insightful discussions have further increased my curiosity to engage in deeper study and reflection on this interesting topic. I would again like to thank Dr. Priya Sharma, Ph.D, CLP, Chair, PRME Chapter ASEAN+ and Vasu Srivibha, Vice Chair, PRME Chapter ASEAN+ and the entire organizing team for extending this warm invitation and opportunity to a young professional like me. Looking forward to more such experiences in the future.
