Shearn Delamore & Co. Dispute Resolution (DR) Practice Group kicked off the first DR Evening Talk of 2025 with a session titled "Medical Negligence in Malaysia - An Overview" last Jan 2025. This enlightening session was led by our DR Partner, Nurulhuda Mansor. Nurulhuda’s experience encompasses all aspects of contentious and non-contentious professional and medical malpractice. She also advises and represents medical practitioners in disciplinary and regulatory proceedings, as well as investigations related to their professional practice. During the session, Nurulhuda provided a comprehensive overview of medico-legal issues, including the law, elements to establish a cause of action and defences, as well as the latest developments in case law surrounding medico-legal issues. The DR Evening Talk Series is a series of professional development seminars organised by the DR partners, designed to benefit the firm’s young lawyers and pupils by covering various aspects of DR practice. Launched in 2024, the series featured 12 seminar sessions in the past year, each comprising insightful talks, interactive Q&A segments, and informal networking over light refreshments to foster engagement and discussion. As previously shared, Shearn Delamore & Co. has expanded its presence in the southern region with the opening of our new office at Menara Jland, Johor Bahru.
