💻𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐂𝐁 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬! I've made significant strides in my internship at the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC). After overcoming initial hurdles, I'm excited to share my progress on my project. 📶 𝐖𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 Seeed Studio'𝐬 #ESP32-𝐒3  I resolved the ESP32-S3 connectivity issues by configuring a static IP address. Now, the device operates wirelessly. As long as the arduino is powered on, anyone connected to the same network can access the live feed by entering the URL. This advancement significantly enhances usability and portability. 🖥️ Streamlit 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. I explored Streamlit to deploy my web application. The app processes images captured by the ESP32-S3 camera and performs real-time component detection on PCB boards. Here’s what it does: ➡️ Detects components on a PCB board via the ESP32-S3 camera. ➡️ Appends the detected components to a table with their count. ➡️ Displays a message indicating whether all components are detected. ➡️ If any component is missing, it flags it for the operator’s attention. 📸 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. The app includes a 'Capture Image' button. When pressed, the app: ➡️ Captures the current image from the ESP32-S3 camera. Processes the image to detect components. ➡️ Appends the component details to the table in real-time. Displays a message if components are missing or incorrectly placed. 🏷️ 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Using #LabelStudio, I performed detailed labeling to create a more refined dataset. This improved dataset helped the Ultralytics YOLO11 model achieve better accuracy in detecting components and defects on PCB boards. 🔧 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. My next focus areas are: ➡️ 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 – I plan to design and 3D print custom smart glasses frames. ➡️ 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – Working on integrating a battery into the ESP32-S3 glasses for complete mobility. The goal is to create fully functional smart glasses that operate independently. This journey has been a mix of challenges and valuable learning experiences.
