[15TH NOVEMBER 2024: IPRMSA IIUM CHAPTER EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO POS MALAYSIA BERHAD] Assalamualaikum and greetings everyone! On the 15th of November 2024 (Friday), the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter organised an educational visit to the headquarters of the Pos Malaysia Berhad in Kuala Lumpur. The educational visit to Pos Malaysia Headquarters was an enriching experience that provided participants with valuable insights into the operations of Malaysia’s leading postal service. The program began with an engaging sharing session led by a key representative from Pos Malaysia, Mrs Nor Suriawati A., Head of Employee and Management, who shared insights on employee engagement principles, strategies and initiatives that aim to give back to the communities and the employees – especially the frontlines. Following, Kak Rock and Abang Azmeer from the Philately team captivated the audience with the creative and historical aspects of the stamp creation and collections and Mr Leonard from the Customer Marketing Team highlighted innovative approaches to customer engagement from both marketing and strategic communication perspectives. The sessions were followed by a dynamic Q&A segment, allowing participants to clarify their queries and interact with the speakers directly. A brief closing ceremony marked the end of the formal session: With closing remarks by Mr Anil Nair, the Head of Talent Attraction and Acquisition as well as a photography session to capture the memorable moments. The visit concluded with a guided tour of Pos Malaysia’s headquarters, where participants observed the operational processes and innovative systems in action, specifically in the Mail Business and Sorting Department. The program provided an exceptional learning opportunity, comprised of meaningful discussions, and the top-notch hospitality and professionalism of the Pos Malaysia team. Prof. Dr Aida Binti Mokhtar and Dr Harmi Taazim Bin Mohamad, for the one-day workshop. Our recent event, PR IN ACTION 1.0: Press Release and Press Conference Workshop, provided participants with hands-on experience in crafting press releases and managing press conferences, essential skills for a successful career in public relations. Through this workshop, participants gained valuable insights into the world of PR, enhancing their abilities to communicate effectively, represent their organizations, and build impactful relationships with the media. [26TH MAY 2024: PROFESSIONAL GROOMING AND BUSINESS ETIQUETTE WORKSHOP] Assalamualaikum and greetings! On Sunday 26th of May, the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter collaborated with Mahallah Zubair Al-Awwam in organising the “Professional Grooming and Business Etiquette Workshop.” Both parties extended our humble invitation to our guest, Miss Hazi Hafizah Usolludin, a Matriculation Lecturer from the Languages and Management Department of CFS IIUM Gambang, Pahang as she extensively covered the one-day workshop. [3RD MAY 2024: SLPR WORLDWIDE EDUCATIONAL VISIT BY IPRMSA IIUM CHAPTER] Assalamualaikum and greetings! On the 3rd of May 2024, the Strategic Networking Office of the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter successfully organised an Educational Visit to SLPR Worldwide Group, Petaling Jaya. Joining the exclusive event are 14 members and our advisor, Dr Zeti Azreen, whereby various knowledge and experiences of the work dynamic of the public relations agency were shared by the credible associates of SLPR Worldwide: Mr Amirul from Social Media Team, Miss Fatin of Media Monitoring Team, Mr Muhaimin from PR Team as well as by the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr Leon Tang. The warm welcome by the SLPR Worldwide family was extended further by the heartfelt hospitality of Mrs Kwan and her son, Darren, who prepared the refreshments for the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter members upon our arrival. Not only was the brief visit packed with active engagements among the participants and the associates but the hospitality shown and insights provided by the agency were top-notch and valuable. [26TH APRIL: IPRMSA IIUM CHAPTER EID CELEBRATION) On the 26th of April 2024, the members of the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter had the chance to gather and celebrate our very own Raya Celebration! Despite the minimal number of members that were able to grace the celebration that day, we were indeed fortunate to have all of the members engage with one another in the spirit of Raya. We extend our gratitude to Dr Zeti Azreen, the advisor of the IPRMSA IIUM Chapter for her presence and the advice that she shared with us during the event.
