We spent three nights here in January 2024, although we originally planned to spend two nights here. There are so many positives about this hotel. We emailed reception, and they sent a minibus to pick us up from the airport. The driver was really helpful and friendly both at the airport and for the short drive to the hotel. Our room was spacious with nice beds and a nice bathroom, and plenty of plug sockets including USBs. We had snacks on the first evening in the Executive Lounge, where there was a good range of food, and a few soft drinks, beer and wine, as well as hot drinks. We had breakfast there on the first morning and were surprised by how extensive the selection was. There was an impressive series of restaurants in the hotel, and we tried a couple whilst we were there, Sal & Pimienta, a snack bar, and Vereda Tropical, a restaurant specialising in meat with indoor and outdoor dining. Both were notable for the quality of food and the level of service, excellent in both cases. We had breakfast in Cafe Colon on the second day and the range of food was even more impressive than the Executive Lounge. As well as standard international breakfast offerings that you would expect in a Hilton, there were local foods - the rice and beans and ham were all delicious - a series of Lebanese breakfast classics, lots of breads and pastries, juices, fruit, and so much more, As with everywhere else in the hotel, the staff were absolutely excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. We spent a little bit of time by the excellent pool and in the spa, which were large, not particularly busy, in good condition, and as with the rest of the hotel, fantastic service. There is a nice, quiet bar at the pool. The pool could can be accessed via the spa, or directly from the hotel. Towels are provided at the spa. On our last day, there were some security issues in the city, and we were very happy that we were staying at this hotel. The staff kept us up to date with what was going on, contacted the airline for us, and when access to the airport was difficult because of the situation, they found a way to get us there, Our flight was delayed by a day, and with a quick call to the Hilton, a room was booked for us and transport was on its way to pick us up. We were greeted like regulat guests on our return. The hotel had excellent security, reassuring in the situation at the time. There were a couple of minor issues - the Hilton reservation system had somehow missed the taxes from our booking, but the hotel managed to get us a slightly lower rate that almost offset the tax impact, and the normal Hilton Hhonors recognition wasn't quite the usual standard - but these were very minor inconvieniences that were more than offset by the excellent facilities and service we experienced throughout. A big thank you to the Hilton for looking after us so well whilst we were there.
