We were met with super service from Alex who checked us in. We had a long long journey getting to Milton Keynes over 11 hours and the clear instructions he provided were a breath of fresh air. Alex listened to our sob story with genuine care and we Really appreciated that. Most people just try as hard as possible to get rid of customers once the moneys are taken but this wasn’t the case here Only thing thats anoyng are his hthe super slow lifts but overall we were impressed We definitely recommend this travelodge

Staff are friendly and the hotel is very cozy, suitable for cool kids! There’s a big supermarket across the street running until 23.00 and there are many restaurants around. Breakfast is very good! Super good value for money if you’re travelling for work there.

Disappointed as we have been a big fan of the Holiday Inn in CMK. The standard room is very standard. For the price we paid, we got a very small room and bed. The amenities are basic for a 4 star holiday. You have to ask for items which are not in the room and limited in what they provided. The AC did not work and was provided with an electric heater. The bed spread is too big for the bed that they tuck it in making it difficult to pull the quilt over you at night. There was a finger nail and hair found in the room. No extractor fan in the bathroom and the shower pressure was poor. I’m guessing our room was on a stairwell or basement because it was extremely cold in the bathroom. However, the location was central but best to park the car around the side of the hotel. The fee to park for the day was £5.40 compared to £15 in the hotel car park. The swimming pool area is in desperate need of renovation and the changing area is unclean. The breakfast is decent but is it worth £17.95 compared to the same breakfast in nearby restaurants for under £7 our answer is no. The waitresses were friendly and helpful especially Freda and Karen. Compared to the many 4 star hotels we have stayed in, this hotel is not worthy of 4 stars.
