Desert resort - great experience off season

Chose late June to visit Dubai in off season - few tourists which was great, though day temperatures were almost unbearable. Around 40 during mid day. Spent a night at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort. An easy 2 hour drive from Dubai downtown. Visited nearby man made lakes and natural dunes which was fun. Hotel was awesome especially with few tourists - around 20% full only. Great design and friendly staff. Would go there again and spend a longer time.
