    //SECURITY INNOVATION AT SLN - ERAMET: SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION TO ENDURIDE GUARDS FOR CONVEYOR PROTECTION SLN - Le Nickel, a subsidiary of the Eramet group based in Nouméa, New Caledonia, is actively committed to the safety of its operations and explores more efficient alternatives to minimize risks associated with pinch points on its conveyors. With a fleet of nearly 60 conveyors spread across multiple sites, SLN aims to replace heavy mechanical protections with more agile solutions, including nets, to ensure optimal safety while facilitating rapid intervention. 🔄 Operational Challenges 🏭 SLN identifies two crucial conveyors dedicated to the transportation of nickel ore, requiring special protection at the strategic Doniambo site. The time constraint due to the continuous operation of the plant emphasizes the importance of fast and effective installations without compromising productivity. ⏰ Diving into Safety Innovation with Enduride 🚧 After a pre-study in collaboration with the engineering company Groupe A2EP - Ingénierie, études techniques, ingénieur-conseil, SLN selected Enduride guards as the ideal solution. This decision results from a deep understanding of the operational environment, safety standards, and the need for customized solutions. The successful installation on a conveyor in two days demonstrates the operational efficiency of Enduride, a business unit of Groupe M7 . 🛠️ Enhanced Safety and Reinvented Collaboration 🤝 Enduride mesh guards establish strengthened daily safety, transforming employees' perception of them as essential collaborators. Although accident statistics remain unchanged, managing change remains a human challenge.
