Fee payment and refunds
You can pay fees relating to patent procedures via bank transfer, credit card or deposit account. If you have a deposit account, you can choose to pay by automatic debiting. Payments can be made in single or batch mode. You can also claim refunds to your bank or deposit account.
Access via EPO smart card stops on 31 Dec 2024
EPO online services can be accessed using either an EPO smart card or two-factor authentication. Support for EPO smart cards will end on 31 December 2024, after which our online services will only be accessible via two-factor authentication. Switch to two-factor authentication today. Pay via Central Fee Payment
You can use Central Fee Payment to pay your patent fees online. Payments must be made in euros. You can only claim refunds via Central Fee Payment.

With Central Fee Payment, you can pay by debit order from your deposit account, or by credit card or bank transfer.
Alternative means of payment
If you prefer, you can submit single debit orders, request an automatic debiting procedure or provide single refund instructions with Online Filing 2.0 or Online Filing.
