The Chicago White Sox baseball club settled claims against it in a lawsuit alleging that former MLB All-Star Omar Vizquel sexually harassed an autistic batboy, when he was managing the White Sox minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons.
Plaintiff Ashtain O’Neal voluntarily dismissed his claims against the team with prejudice, according to a notice filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Counsel for the White Sox, Kimberly Geisler with Scott Dukes & Geisler PC told Bloomberg Law that a confidential settlement was reached.
The dismissal doesn’t impact the claims against Vizquel and the Barons organization. ...
