According to the company’s SEC filings, Booking.com has approximately 3.9 million total properties globally as of September 30 this year, consisting of over 475,000 hotels, motels, and resorts and over 3.4 million alternative accommodation properties (including homes, apartments, and other unique places to stay). This represents an increase from approximately 3.3 million total properties at September 30, 2023.

The final speaker was Market Team Manager at Booking.com, Keti Naumovski, who said value for money is top of mind for travellers. “Keti explained that the UK, USA, NZ and Germany are our top international source markets at the moment and Sydney continues to rate highly among Australian and International tourists, and is ranked number 2 in Australian locations to spend Christmas and New Year’s.

And this phenomenon is not exclusive to Pleasant: Booking.com described a growing interest among some parents for Spending Kids’ Inheritance (aka “SKI”) trips in its 2025 Travel Predictions report released last month.
