'A Family Affair' on Netflix

In A Family Affair, now streaming on Netflix, Efron plays Hollywood star Chris Cole, who begins an unexpected romance with widow Brooke Harwood (Kidman), who happens to be the mother of his under-appreciated personal assistant Zara Ford (Joey King).

The set of Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and Joey King's new rom-com, “A Family Affair,” seemed to be filled with jokes and laughter. In honor of the film premiering on Netflix June 28, Efron shared a behind-the-scenes video that showed how much fun the trio had making the movie.

Family Affair was a popular situation comedy and a regular top 20 hit show producted by Don Fedderson Productions for CBS-TV during its five-year run from 1966-71.

Rotten Tomatoes critics have collectively given A Family Affair a 47% “rotten” rating based on 49 reviews to date. The Audience Score by RT users isn't as favorable, though, as the film currently has a “rotten” 42% rating based on 100-plus ratings.
