As we approach our 7th-year anniversary and mark the end of the #16DaysOfActivism, we reflect on the journey so far, creating awareness on rape and gender based violence in IDP camps and vulnerable communities, amplifying the voices of survivors, and challenging harmful norms. Through our Disarm Rape Culture campaign back in 2020, we engaged directly with these communities to spark conversations, educate, and inspire collective action against violence. Gender-based violence isn’t just a statistic, it is a deeply personal and painful reality for too many. As this year’s #16DaysOfActivism comes to an end, we are reminded that the fight doesn’t stop here. Our one-month summer school, which ended in August in the Jebbu-Miango community, Plateau State, brought together rural, underserved children eager to learn despite the odds stacked against them.
