Gender-based violence (GBV) leaves lasting scars, not only on the body but also on the mind. Survivors may experience trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges as they navigate their journey toward healing. It’s crucial to create safe spaces for survivors to share their experiences and access professional support. Healing isn’t linear, but with the right resources, hope is within reach. Let’s stand together to break the cycle of violence and support survivors in reclaiming their strength and peace of mind. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #OrangeTheWorld #Day5 #BrenCareForChange #BCF2024

Violence has no place in our world! When we speak out against abuse, we are standing for a future where every person can live free from fear and violence. It's not just about raising awarenes, it's about demanding action, holding perpetrators accountable, and ensuring that leaders take concrete steps to end gender-based violence (GBV). Speaking out takes courage, but together, our voices can create a powerful movement that inspires change. Let’s say NO to GBV and YES to dignity, respect, and safety for all. What actions can you take today to stand against violence? Share your thoughts in the comments section👇 #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #OrangeTheWorld #SupportSurvivors #BrenCareForChange #Day4 #BCF2024

The excitement in me is uncontainable! 🤍From being selected as a Top 20 finalist from over 216 submissions in over 51 countries to emerging as a winner of the Global Center on Climate Adaptation video competition, this journey has been nothing short of transformative. Thank you Global Center on Adaptation for this platform to grow in taking climate actions. Winning this competition is not just a personal milestone—it’s a testament to the power of youth voices in driving change. I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported me along the way—your encouragement and belief in me made this possible.🤍 I’m also thrilled to share that I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the GCA Youth Leadership for Adaptation Action Exchange Dinner, an event where young heroes are celebrated for their work.😊 To my fellow youths, Climate change is something we all have to be intentional about. There’s so much change in our planet and we can’t afford to live in a planet where we constantly face disaster. We need to take actions and act, take part in small actions, drive for actions to influence the wealthy accountable-those contributing to emission must become part of the solution not the problem. Food insecurity and a host of others is something we don’t want to experience in full.😌 Climate adaptation and mitigation is everyone’s business. It requires all hands on deck—big or small. Together, we must bring forward solutions that build resilient communities and prepare us for the challenges ahead.🔥 #Youth4Adaptation #Youth4AdaptationActionDay

This week, we encourage everyone, especially young people, to focus on building wellness habits that enhance mental, emotional, and physical health. Small acts, like getting enough rest, taking mindful breaks, and staying connected with supportive friends and family, can make a big difference. Remember: You can’t pour from an empty cup. Fill yours with love, rest, and kindness! Let’s make wellness a priority, one day at a time. #WellnessWednesday #SelfCare #YouthWellbeing #BrenCareFoundation #HealthyHabits #MindfulnessMatters

It's been a month since our RISE (Reintegrating Girls Into School Education) Project beneficiaries returned to school, and we couldn’t end the month without checking in on their progress! During this visit, Ms. Victoria Archibong led an empowering session on self-esteem. She explained that self-esteem is about how you see yourself, your overall opinion of who you are. As the students reflected on what self-esteem means to them, she broke down the different types; low, high, and unstable and encouraged them to keep improving, learn from their mistakes, and not let anything or situation hold them back. She shared tips on boosting self-esteem, highlighting that people with high self-esteem believe in themselves, set goals, and keep pushing forward. Ms. Rachel Idim took a moment to recognize the girls’ hard work and dedication since returning to school through the RISE Project. She praised their commitment to their studies, acknowledging how much they have already accomplished in just one month back and encouraged them to aim for excellence, ignore negative voices, and strive to be their best. Her advice; - Make reading a daily habit 📖 - Take on leadership roles 🏅 - Set their sights on being top students in their classes 🎓 With the RISE Project, we are not only bringing girls back to school but also cheering them on every step of the way! We witnessed a powerful moment as 15 young girls took their first steps back to school, the very first in their community, thanks to the RISE Project. With new uniforms, school supplies, and their one year of school fees fully covered, these girls are now back in the classroom, ready to turn their dreams into reality. This is just the beginning as part of the RISE Project, we envision reintegrating over 5 million girls back to school, giving each the chance to learn, grow, and lead. Join us in supporting and sending more girls back to school. Together, we can make a lasting difference!
