    Web Developer ( Laravel, python, node.js, next.js , tailwindcss ..)

African Bitcoin Conference 2024: An Unforgettable Experience 🌍🌟 Last week, I had the incredible privilege of attending the African Bitcoin Conference in Nairobi, Kenya. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with brilliant minds and innovators in the Bitcoin space from around the world. One of the highlights was meeting exceptional software engineers, creators, and advocates who are driving the adoption of Bitcoin and decentralized technologies. The insights shared by industry leaders and pioneers were truly inspiring, and the energy in the community was unmatched. I also had the pleasure of meeting remarkable individuals such as Obi Nwosu, Ojoma Ochai, and Bitnob CEO Bernard Parah. Their work and contributions to the Bitcoin ecosystem are nothing short of inspiring. Engaging with them provided valuable perspectives on the future of Bitcoin adoption, especially in Africa. A special moment for me was meeting Jack Dorsey, whose contributions to Bitcoin and decentralized financial systems continue to make a lasting impact. This conference has deepened my commitment to leveraging Bitcoin technology for real-world solutions, fostering inclusivity, and driving financial freedom. I’m excited to take the knowledge and inspiration gained here into my work and beyond. A huge thank you to the Btrust Builders team and the organizing team for putting together such an impactful event and to everyone I connected with for the enriching conversations. Let’s continue building the future of Bitcoin! 🚀⚡ #AfricanBitcoinConference #Bitcoin #Decentralization #Innovation #Networking #BtrustBuilders

Software Engineer | AI/Energy Researcher | UK Global Talent

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel session at the African Bitcoin Conference in Nairobi, Kenya where I discussed “Cultivating a Thriving Bitcoin Developer Community: Strategies for Success” drawing on my experience as an engineering fellow of the 2nd cohort of the Btrust Builders Programme (previously Qala). My top 3 advice for African Software engineers who intend on going into Bitcoin Development were: 𝟭. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 – There’s a wealth of information available online, but not all of it is useful. Develop the ability to filter out the noise and focus on what truly matters to your learning and growth. 𝟮. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 – Communities can accelerate your progress. I owe much of my growth in Bitcoin open-source contributions to the support I received from Btrust and Btrust Builders. Surrounding yourself with a like-minded community helps you gain clarity and overcome challenges faster. 𝟯. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 – Synergy happens when you connect a new interest to something you’re already passionate about. For instance, my work as an open-source contributor to Bitcoin projects like Alby wallet aligns with my passion for the creator economy in Africa as an ex-founder of Tell! - an African CreaTech startup. Combining my already existing interest in building creator-focused tools with my new passion for Bitcoin has made me laser-focused on building and contributing to projects in the ecosystem that resonates with these two passions like Nostr, Vyouz and Alby's JS lightning tools. _________________________________________________ Visiting Nairobi again was an amazing experience and I'm grateful to Btrust and the African Bitcoin Conference for the opportunity to share, learn and connect with the community. #ABC #Africanbitcoinconference #Bitcoin #softtwareengineering
