Groundbreaking Findings from the IVON trial! The IVON Trial, led by our Director Professor Bosede Afolabi recently published in Lancet Global Health, has shown that ferric carboxymaltose, an iron treatment given through a drip, is faster and more effective than iron tablets for treating anaemia in pregnancy and it's just as safe for both mother and baby!🤰🏽 This trial, involving 1,056 Nigerian women, could revolutionize how we tackle pregnancy-related anaemia in sub-Saharan Africa. A major step towards improving maternal health outcomes! Read the full paper here 👉🏾 https://bit.ly/3XzL1jd #CCTRIS #IVONTrial #MaternalHealth #ClinicalTrials #LancetGlobalHealth #ResearchInnovation
