The alarming brain drain of health workers in Nigeria in the past decades has caused a gap in the health sector with negative effect on health system strengthening making it difficult to achieve UHC in Nigeria. We appreciate our patriotic frontline health workers who are still delivering quality health care services amidst several challenges such as poor remuneration, high inflation, burnout, huge catchment population resulting to high Doctor/Nurse to population ratio, inadequate equipment, ageing infrastructure, limited capacity building, among others. CHECOD joins the rest of the world to wish every health worker the best and most rewarding year as we continue to save lives for a healthy and prosperous economy. #Workers #healthworkers #WorkersDay #uhc
