Yesterday I had a fantastic time moderating a session on Climate Financing Strategies at the 2024 Africa Climate Forum. My job was made easy as I had the most knowledge panel ever straddling both public and private sectors and their respective approaches towards climate investment. Most interesting out of the many ‘a-ha’ moments were the models for investment currently being adopted and the response of local climate related industries to adapting internal strategies to secure available funding on the continent. Of course representing Development Bank of Nigeria Plc at this event, I had to slip our status as Nigerias Direct Access Entity to the Green Climate Fund and that turned me from moderator to a panelist due to the barrage of questions afterwards lol. Still, there are worse ways to spend a Monday! Here’s to the rest of the week! Gori Olusina Daniel PhD Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh, PhD Pradeep Pursnani Chibueze Ekeh
