    Having conflicting views on issues such as budgets, processes etc. can be common within some organisations but requires understanding, respect and tact in reaching an agreement. From a personal experience while unexpectedly displaying my conflict management skills, such issues can simply be resolved by; 1. Be ready to play the middle man role by RESPECTFULLY seeking and understanding the views of the divides.👨🏾⚖️ 2. Get opinions of other relevant stakeholders who might support or be neutral to either of the divides. Fact is, while some team members are interested in understanding the decision making process by the Senior Executives, others might not border as it is not within their power🤷🏾♂️. They are neutral. Just keep them updated on those decisions and what is expected. They will play their role and give you results.👨🏾🔧 However, do not relegate them. You have smart thinkers and problem solvers among them. 3. Analyse the benefits, challenges & common factors in the views of the divides. 4. Identity common grounds and build on them. 5. If/when necessary, propose a calmer environment for further discussions. E.g. general lunch time, team bonding exercises, 🎳🏓⚽etc. whatever works better. This step can be relevant when there are no urgencies attached to the decisions. 6. If #5 isn't adopted or fails, recommend a vote by the relevant stakeholders. 7. The leading vote wins and is adopted. This doesn't mean the other idea was bad. In fact, it can be adopted in another situation or if the agreed choice isn't effective. This was helpful to me and could help you too.
