Updates

  • New Updates have been made on our website. In our goal to keep cybersecurity awareness and training alive we introduced the Q & A series with Fixitgearware Security, by publishing a free video content on answering cybersecurity questions every week via our YouTube Channel.   However, we are not stopping by doing this series, we took it further, to a more interesting level with the following.   1.   The Q & A series video will first be published on the official YouTube Channel sticking to the weekly program and time frame. See YouTube Link below for the channel.   YouTube-Link: https://lnkd.in/gP4a-f4k   2. 24-hrs after the video has been published, the blog post on these questions and answers for that week’s episode, will be released on our website, under the Infotech Q & A category. [See video demo below].   3. In-between the question and answers, is an embedded video of how we arrived on the answers to the question’s, for that week’s episode. [See video demo below].   4. These explanations contains various definitions of all the options given in the question first, then later an explanation of the various terms used, application of these terms, and finally a selection of the answer that is right or suitable for that question.   5. You can watch the video on your smart devices (phone, laptop, iPad and more…), while remaining on the website, and scrolling through other questions, without needing to switch between YouTube and our website.   6. The videos are not auto-play, so you have the choice of either playing them or not by clicking the YouTube play button.   7. Videos can also play in the background (like-a podcast), while you scroll through other questions, on the active episode you are viewing, or revisiting previous question you scrolled past to understand the explanation.   8. We believe this will assist our viewers, readers, and future readers to navigate at ease with their studying, understanding cybersecurity questions, stripping them of their keywords, and arriving to the right answers.   9. All five episodes since the series started are also live now on our website, and the video content is available on YouTube.    10. We also solicit your subscribing to the YouTube channel, to keep the algorithm helpful for others like you, who want to learn more about cybersecurity. Thank you.     Important Note:    The highlighted text (in red) are the keywords that was stripped from the entire jargons contained in the Q & A, and the green text are the answers for that question.   Episode 1 (Blog Article):   https://lnkd.in/gVSpg-wn   Episode 2 (Blog Article):   https://lnkd.in/g3xkf5mV See Comments....

  • Ho! Ho!! Ho!!! They say Christmas is not just a celebration, but a time to spend with you and your loved ones, and you our various social family members, are part of one big people we are spending this holiday virtually with. Miracles happening, Air filled with nostalgia and a possibility of experiencing something good is part of what makes the Christmas a worldwide holiday. But to us at FIXITGEARWARE SECURITY, it isn’t just a celebration of the Christmas Miracle, but also a celebration of when the idea FIXITGEARWARE was birthed. These moments happen once in a lifetime, and at exactly Midnight 25-Dec-2019, while others were in the spirit of celebrating the Christmas holiday, the idea of helping newbies to get into Cybersecurity sprung up, and with immediate action, we coined and acquired the domain www.fixitgearware.com and ever since then it has been us taking those little steps to make this dream come true. So, you see Christmas every year for us is special as we appreciate the miracle idea that came, but this one right here is super special as we mark our “5-Years Anniversary” ever since the idea was birthed. From the depths of our heart, we want to wish you “The Christmas Miracle” and “A Happy 5-Year Anniversary” to “FIXITGEARWARE SECURITY”. And just like the saying goes “Big Ideas Start Small”- Anonymous.  My Christmas Prayers is that “MAY THIS SMALL IDEA, BECOME ONE OF THE ONES COUNTED AMONGST THE GREATEST, FOR US AT FIXITGEARWARE SECURITY, AND EVERYONE OF YOU OUR SOCIAL FAMILY.” -Benedict (Founder FIXITGEARWARE SECURITY) and may the “JOY OF CHRISTMAS” usher all your expectations good, better, and best ones, to come true. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL, AND A HAPPY 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US ALL FGW’S SECURITY. BENEDICT (CEO & FOUNDER FIXITGEARWARE SECURITY) 2024.

  • When testing a target, tools can always come in handy, but understanding their application and tweaking the provided flags from the documentation to fit the specific results you desire is one way to uncover vulnerabilities.  Earlier this week, we rounded up our 'Tools Friday Series' for the year 2024, and we demonstrated a few recon activities using the raccoon tool.  Want to see how we used the "raccoon command cheat sheet " to uncover the cPanel of a live target? Check the YouTube link below. 1. How to Install The Raccoon Tool:  https://lnkd.in/gxB8H8tT 2. • CYBERSECURITY TIPS FOR THE DAY, TODAY'S CYBERSECURITY TIPS, IS ON ETHICAL HACKING AND BUG BOUNTY RESEARCH TIPS: When performing offensive security activities (Pen-testing or Bug Bounty Events), thinking outside the box is a quick way to uncovering endpoints for testing. Everyone is already doing passive and active recon, and that puts you in the Rat race. So to get out of it, here is a simple trick. 1. Get the target domain and “Google-Dork” everything possible about the target. 2. Focus more on dorking results providing extension paths e.g target.com/gibberis_data 3. Test these Dorking results uncovered, to see if you can get the following: - SQL Injection related Vulns. - XSS related Vulns. - IDOR Vulns. You never know what findings awaits you. 😇😇.
