we don't need a handful of people doing eco friendly living perfectly. we need millions of people reusing their plastics, repurposing their clothes, planting seeds, choosing to carry their own shopping bags to stores, teaching their kids to recycle waste at home, watering their plants, planning their meals to reduce food waste, getting creative with their leftovers, buying only the things they need, turning off their appliances when not in use and doing it all, everyday, imperfectly • #ecofriendlylifestyle

United Nations Headquarters in New York went dark in support of #EarthHour on Saturday. Around the globe, millions of people, businesses and landmarks set aside an hour to switch off their lights and call for #ClimateAction. From saving electricity to recycling to using public transport, all of us can #ActNow to protect our planet. www.un.org/actnow

Accidentally eco things I did before I even cared about sustainable living: used natural light as long as possible before turning the lights on. bright lights give me headaches and simply ruins my mood. the dishwasher was just convenient, but now I know it saves water stored perishables in the freezer or fridge to make them last longer always made sure to eat those leftovers stacked my plastic takeouts as emergency lunch boxes always stacked my plastic bags for reuse preferred going to marts with my shopping bags because it's more convenient and fancier And you? • #sustainableliving #sustainability
