A Month of Growth, Challenges, and Impact! Four weeks ago, I took a bold step into the unknown, diving headfirst into my Data Analyst internship journey at Harvoxx Tech Hub—right on the heels of my final exams and in the midst of tackling my final year project. It wasn’t easy to balance it all, but I figured this is the perfect time to embrace risks, make mistakes, and learn what truly works. Fast forward one month, and I can confidently say this experience has been nothing short of transformational. Juggling school and an internship has taught me one critical skill: adequate planning. At first, the constant shift between academics and professional responsibilities felt overwhelming. But after a candid conversation with one of my mentors, I realized the power of planning. Now, with daily planners, notifications, and alarms, I’ve fine-tuned my workflow. Tasks get done faster, my output has increased, and nothing slips through the cracks anymore. One of the highlights of this internship has been contributing to TechPass Africa, a cutting-edge platform designed to empower young Africans with the tech skills they need to excel in the digital economy. I’ve particularly enjoyed working on the TechPass Campus Program (TCP)—a virtual training initiative that introduces university students to in-demand tech skills while they’re still in school. The TCP’s first cohort registration is almost closing! If you’re an undergraduate at University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, Captain Elechi Amadi, or Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, seize this opportunity to transform your career trajectory. Apply now https://lnkd.in/dJd2XHvA. Being actively involved in data collection, cleaning, and insight generation for such impactful projects has been exhilarating. There’s a special thrill in seeing a project I contributed to come to life. It fuels my passion for learning, problem-solving, and creating something meaningful. This internship journey has been filled with feedback, late nights, laughter, challenges, and victories. Each step has shaped me, and the camaraderie with my mentors and fellow interns has been priceless. Here’s to more growth, exciting developments, and uncovering the endless possibilities data holds! Let’s connect—how do you balance multiple priorities while chasing your goals? 😊 #InternshipJourney #DataAnalytics #TechEducation #GrowthMindset

It’s 3 weeks already! It’s hard to believe it’s been three weeks since I started interning at Harvoxx Tech Hub . This experience has truly been transformative. After completing my data analytics training, I was eager to dive into the real world, and this opportunity has exceeded my expectations. The journey began with my application, I was nervous about interning right after training, but I decided to take a leap of faith. When I received the email inviting me for an interview, my heart raced with excitement. The interview felt like a friendly chat, which helped calm my nerves and made me feel welcomed. Waiting for the acceptance mail felt like a test of patience. I remember checking my inbox repeatedly, and when the good news finally arrived, I was more than excited. In these first few weeks, I’ve had the chance to work on various projects, analyzing data and generating reports. Each task has not only sharpened my technical skills but also boosted my confidence. Another interesting phase of this journey has been among my fellow interns. We’ve created a supportive network, sharing ideas and collaborating on projects. This teamwork has made every day enjoyable and enriching, as we learn from each other. I am incredibly grateful for the guidance from my team leads and our intern coordinator. They’ve been so supportive, encouraging me to ask questions for clarity and put my ideas to good use. Their constructive feedback inspires me to do better. As I continue my journey at Harvoxx Tech Hub, I cherish the opportunities and connections I’m making. And I'm even more excited for what's to come.

Still documenting my tech journey at Harvoxx Tech Hub A program brought to life by #Chukwudidimkpafoundation Class 17 with my tutor Mr Aminigbo Paul Date: 27th November 2024 Diving deep in JAVASCRIPT (Event and Event Listener) Event Listeners listen for actions and performs it. It allow codes to be executed when a specific event occurs. Adding Event Listener as a method allows you to bind elements or scripts together. E.g addEventListener("click", () => { alert ("clicked a button"); }); Some common Events are; ✓mouseover ✓click ✓keyup ✓load At the end of the class, we were given a Vestra sign-in UI to replicate and we used it to work on what we learnt about EventListeners. The task was to redesign the Harvoxx Tech. Hub hero page. Delve into the world of creativity and do something user-friendly yet intriguing. And I took it up from there!😊 Now, it's not just about having varieties of colour palettes and using everything up. My tutor,Racheal Obereniokuma kept emphasizing on the user; That's the focus of the design. The user shouldn't encounter hassles navigating through your product. And yes, I'm taking my lessons and paying very keen attention to this aspect in my designs. I'll keep exploring and learning in the process. But for now, let's save this here.🥰 Web design just keeps getting better. Harvoxx Tech Hub Chukwudi Dimkpa #tech230project #chukwudidimkpafoundation #harvoxxtechhub #tech230productdedign #webdesign

As an emerging designer with a passion for creativity and problem-solving, I am eager to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the design world with guidance from Harvoxx Tech Hub Reflecting on my growth as a designer, i worked on a local government design project two weeks into my internship This marked a significant step in my journey, where I learned not only about the technical aspects of design but also the importance of community impact and the role of design in serving public needs. Hence, the need for a local government landing page. At the start of this project, I had a solid foundation in design principles and a passion for creative problem-solving. However, working on a local government project challenged me to approach design with a new perspective. I had to balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring the final product was accessible, user-friendly, and met the diverse needs by showing what the government has to offer in each section. Through this project, I developed a deeper understanding of how design can influence public services and community engagement. I became more mindful of the design’s long-term impact, understanding the importance of sustainability and user-centered design. I also gained confidence in presenting my work to various Head of Build with harvoxx receiving constructive criticism, which further enhanced my growth as a designer. It has reinforced the importance of designing with purpose, keeping the community’s needs at the forefront, and constantly striving for growth and improvement. I look forward to applying these lessons to future projects, knowing that I’ve become a more thoughtful and versatile designer.
