  • Transforming Nutrition Data into Actionable Insights HSDF is proud to have provided technical support for the development of the State of Nutrition Dashboard in collaboration with The World Bank, the Federal Ministry of Health, the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning (FMBNP), as part of the ANRiN Project. This cutting-edge dashboard is a game-changer for: ✔️ Informed Decision-Making ✔️ Evidence-Based Policy Formulation ✔️ Efficient Resource Allocation Last week, the dashboard was presented at the 4th Quarter National Committee on Food and Nutrition (NCFN) meeting, where we showcased its features, key indicators, and user-friendly interface. The presentation was met with great enthusiasm from the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in attendance. We are incredibly grateful to our amazing partners who made this project possible! Together, we are advancing the use of data-driven solutions to combat malnutrition and improve the well-being of Nigerians. • We recently participated in the 4th Quarter National Nutrition Technical Working Group (NNTWG) meeting, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH). The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including development partners like World Health Organization, UNICEF, USAID, and CHAI, as well as MDAs such as National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), NAFDAC Nigeria, FMBEP, FMOE, FMHPR, and FMWR, to assess the progress of nutrition interventions and plan for the future. Key highlights included updates on the rollout of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) in Bauchi State by Nutrition International, and UNICEF’s new WHO IMAM pilot project in Katsina. HSDF contributed valuable insights on governance, structure, and challenges faced by the NNTWG in 2024, offering recommendations for improving multisectoral coordination and the use of evidence-based data to tackle malnutrition. We will continue to support Nigeria's nutrition goals, advocating for a Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) unit within the Nutrition Department to strengthen data synthesis and decision-making. We are committed to working with the Federal Ministry of Health to enhance nutrition outcomes across Nigeria.
