The entire goal of SIWES is to equip students from Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education across Nigeria through hands-on industrial training in their respective fields of studies. Founded and coordinated by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in partnership with tertiary institutions to allow students go on this training at their 3/4th year of study as the case may be. Unfortunately, the process itself has become hectic and strenuous for students as they go in search of companies to apply to for this mandatory industrial training. Displayed below are some of the specific problems faced by students during their search. I-Tapp comes in to bridge this gap by creating a platform where students can easily access companies even from the comfort of their own spaces, there by eliminating: - The stress of moving from one company to another to submit their given application letters. - ⁠The time spent during application to various companies. - ⁠The cost of having to move from one place to another, one location to another. - ⁠Proximity limitations where students are unable to apply for trainings in locations farther from their homes or schools because of the distance to and from. I-Tapp also will ensure companies can adequately : • Access the various number of students who apply for their industrial training • ⁠Conduct assessments if needed for students using the platform • ⁠Manage the entire process by tracking progress and communication with students through the platform. • ⁠Manage the database of students who have applied to their companies.
