🚗 Why Are Road Transport Operators Still Making Us Buy Tickets at the Parks? 🤔 It's 2024, and it drives me crazy that companies like PMT, Ifesinachi, Chisco, ABC, and many others still require us to queue up in person for tickets. Their online tools are, frankly, mediocre at best. From my experience, here are the three main issues plaguing their IT sourcing and procurement process: Leadership Lacks Foresight: The leadership in many of these traditional companies is seriously out of touch with the times and their customers. Rarely do you hear any leader in this space talking about growing market share or delivering better service. They’re too comfortable with the status quo. Nepotism and Politics: Decisions are often influenced by nepotism and politics. It's not unusual to find contracts going to some quack company run by the MD’s brother or the Chairman’s friend, leading to shoddy ticketing tools that never work. Regulatory Failure: This is a major issue that needs its own post, so I’ll leave this elephant in the room for now. This needs to change! There's a massive opportunity here for new entrants or ambitious companies to gain ground at little cost. Just find an expert in digital tools, like T40 Technologies and Intercity NG, and do better. Trust me, customers will love you and stick with you. The bar is low, so take advantage! Let’s drive this change together. 🚀
