Five years ago, I was preparing for my final exams and completing my final-year project under Dr. Olayinka Omowunmi Adewumi’s supervision. Two months later, I was thrilled to graduate with a First class in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos After celebrating this milestone, I quickly turned my focus to the next step. My interest in Finance and Consulting, fueled by books I had read and my experience Co- Founding Vibujor – a platform for University students to buy and sell on campus – steered me in a new direction The opportunity came when I interviewed with Yinka and Haneef and secured an internship at Leonine Investment Services. I joined in February 2020, beginning what would be a rewarding journey. Over the next 56 months, I worked at Leonine a financial advisory and training firm, and supported at Aster BI a company building a financial management tool for small and medium sized professional services businesses. During this time, I collaborated with Haneef, Yinka, Jalil, Rilwan, Ibrahim, Rokeebat, Oluwaseun, Zainab, Abdulsamod, Sekinat, Chiamaka, Olayinka, Eniola Nusirat,Lateefah and many other great people – while gaining experience advising clients across the financial services, healthcare, agriculture, and oil and gas industries. Thanks to Haneef’s leadership, I also developed key skills in client management, communication, and leadership. As I transition from Leonine Investment Services, I am filled with gratitude for the lessons learned and the relationships built over almost 5 years. Working alongside such a dynamic team has equipped me with invaluable skills and experiences that will undoubtedly shape my career moving forward. I am excited about the future and remain confident that the foundation Leonine Investment Services has provided will continue to serve me well in my next chapter. I wish the firm continued success.
