We have invited Professor Hassan Zoaka to share the rudiments of orthopedic surgery titled “Broken bones like broken hearts, need mending; A case for orthopedic intervention in fracture “ Prof. Hassan is currently a Professor in Veterinary Surgery at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and has been involved in teaching and research from 1989 to date. He has also supervised several students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in ABU, University of Agriculture (UNAAB) Abeokuta and in Malaysia. Wildlife loss can lead to economic and social impacts, from the loss of tourism revenue to gaps in our natural heritage. It is vital to protect trafficked animals and educate the public about our connection to wildlife._ Dr Samuel Akpan is a veterinary epidemiologist, researcher, and conservation ecologist. He is currently a PhD. candidate at the Wildlife Ecology & Conservation (WEC) Group of Wageningen University &amp Research, the Netherlands.
