Highlights from the National Organization Development Summit - Day 2 We had the privilege of learning from top organizational leaders and social actors, which was an incredible opportunity for us. Recognizing the pressing need for fast-rising CSOs like ours to develop strategies that effectively convey our impact, we were thrilled to be invited to this summit. Exciting Highlights from the National Organization Development Summit - Day 1 Our Executive Director proudly represented us at the 3rd annual Organization Development Summit in Abuja, hosted by Palladium. This summit is a pivotal part of the SCALE initiative, launched in 2020 to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) for sustained success. With only 33% of businesses making it to the next generation and a mere 13% scaling to the third, the need for robust capacity building is clear. Key discussions were around; How are Nigerian CSOs committed to sustainable changes in the face of a dwindling donor grants?, Unpacking the challenges and opportunities for Nigerian CSOs in Navigating the Donor Landscape. As a youth-led organization dedicated to alleviating poverty in Nigeria through youth entrepreneurship and community development, we recognize the importance of gaining valuable insights and expanding our network to drive our vision forward. We are honored to have received an invitation from the Data.FI Project of Palladium: Make It Possible to attend the Digital and Data Use Forum 2024. This event brought together key sustainable development stakeholders to share updates, engage in meaningful dialogue, and chart a path forward for Nigeria. Data for Implementation (Data.Fi), a project sponsored by USAID and supported by partners like Pepfar Scholars Organization , The World Bank, Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, aims to revolutionize healthcare infrastructure through data utilization and digitization. This initiative is instrumental in enhancing Nigeria’s healthcare system. Over the past five years, Nigeria has made significant strides in the health sector, despite numerous challenges. The establishment of well-equipped Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOCs) in states like Edo and Lagos is already underway, showcasing the country’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes. The impact of Data.Fi in Nigeria is profound, playing a crucial role in combating HIV and COVID-19. While countries like Indonesia are further along in reaping the benefits of this project, Nigeria is quickly catching up. The involvement of youth in driving this initiative forward is particularly impressive, as are the contributions from pioneering health professionals. As an organization, we are inspired by the progress of this transformative initiative and are committed to supporting Data.Fi in achieving its goals for Nigeria’s healthcare system.
