-- (Previous Project) Combining Innovative Remote Mapping Techniques and On-the-Ground Assessment for Energy Access: Mitsio Motu & GIZ Nigeria In 2019, Mitsio Motu contributed to various activities under the Nigerian Energy Support Programme II. The component in question aimed to precisely map several dozen unelectrified villages in northern Nigeria, down to the household level. By combining innovative remote mapping techniques and on-the-ground assessments, high-quality geospatial databases were developed for reliable energy solutions in off-grid communities in Nigeria (https://lnkd.in/dWk25NSx). These insights are driving efficient mini-grid installations and ensuring that energy access reaches those who need it most.

Cela m’aide à me ressourcer. #MitsioMotu #data #team

JAM! Launch: A New Era for creative and cultural collaboration in West Africa On Friday evening, creative minds from various fields came together at the Institut français du Togo for the launch of the highly anticipated JAM App. Louis V., CEO of Mitsio Motu, presented the context and the app to its target audience, the vibrant creative community of West Africa, marking the start of a new online model for creative projects' incubation. The event was launched by Stephane BLANCHON and moderated by Odette Bossa. Tushar Hathiramani presented the JAM Manifesto, which emphasised core values: Be authentic. Start small, aim big. Forge connections. Cross borders. Energise spaces. Expand our circles. Making it accessible. Create better, together. These principles set the tone for the app’s mission to revolutionise how creatives across West Africa connect and collaborate. A thought-provoking panel followed, featuring notable creatives like Bubu Ogisi (Nigeria), Micheal Ametepe (Benin), Barbara Amouzou (Togo), Sidiki Yougbare (Burkina Faso), and Yoanh Azema (Ivory Coast). Moderated by Jenny Fatou Mbaye, the discussion explored the meaning of Jamming, the act of collaborating, and how it shapes creative industries across the continent. They delved into the challenges of cross-border collaborations and the role JAM will play in overcoming these obstacles. The conversation ignited a rich dialogue among the audience, fostering deeper connections and inspiring future partnerships. Leading up to this, Carina Akanbi (Ghana) and Akey Fabrice Looky (Togo) delivered dynamic research on creative migration across West Africa and the role the JAM App will play in empowering these creative networks. To cap off the event, the JAM Prize, offering between €1,500 and €3,000, was announced, a game-changing initiative to encourage regional collaboration.
