#Happy_International_Volunteers_Day! Volunteering has been one of the best decisions of my life. It’s not just about giving back to the community; it has proven to be an important tool for my professional growth, connection, and opportunities. We are excited to be part of the Enugu State 2025 Citizens' Engagement on Budget Preparation. The event underscores government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, open governance, and inclusivity in the state budgeting and resource allocation process. Our participation in this process is not just about raising our voices, it’s about making tangible impact through budget accountability. The huge increment in the 2024 budget allocation to the WASH sector showed government's political will to prioritize WASH interventions in #Enugu State. As a Network, we are committed to working with the government and relevant stakeholders to assess the 2024 budgetary performance (budget release and utilization). As we contribute to the 2025 fiscal year budget, we remain focused on advocating for improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructures across Enugu State. These essentials are critical to the well-being of every citizen, and we are proud to support the government in its efforts to prioritize these needs. Collaboration between citizens and government is key to building a sustainable and inclusive future.
