As a community we are serious about breaking barriers and rewriting the code of tech leadership - because representation matters. The #female #engineers speaking at PyCon 2024 are showing the world that engineering is for everyone. We are not just talking #diversity – we're doing it. Our stage, our rules: 50/50 representation, zero compromises. Women engineers are not the future of tech – they ARE tech. Period. 🐍 Get your tickets for 3rd & 4th December www.pycon.or.tz #PythonTanzania #TechConference #AfricanInnovation #CodersUnite #ProgrammingCommunity #TechEvent #PythonProgramming #PyCon2024 #PyConTZ2024 #WomenInTech #FemaleEngineers #PythonPower #DiversityInTech #WomenWhoCode #TechLeadership #EqualityInTechnology #InspirationalWomen

Thrilled to have recently spoken at PyCon Nigeria 2024! 🐍🇳🇬 Speaking at a tech conference has been on my bucket list for years, and I'm grateful to have finally checked it off. I had the privilege of presenting on "Steering LLMs Towards Structured and Reliable Outputs" - a topic I'm deeply passionate about. I shared insights on leveraging constrained generation tools like Instructor (h/t Jason Liu) and Outlines (h/t .txt) to ensure machine-friendly and dependable LLM outputs. But the real magic of PyCon Nigeria? The incredible knowledge exchange and connections made! Standout moments: - Talks by and conversations with Dike E. Kalu, Uche Ogbuji, Gift Ojeabulu, Ezinwanne Chinemelu Aka, Bunmi Akinremi, Victor Ogo Ekwueme and many more ... - Impromptu podcast with Uche Ogbuji - Python debugging sessions with Daniel Tobi and Oduguwa Damilola Key takeaway: The innovative applications of Python in solving uniquely African challenges left me inspired and eager to contribute more to this space. A huge thank you to the Python Nigeria community for this enriching experience. The passion and innovation I witnessed are testaments to Africa's thriving tech ecosystem. What's your experience with constraining LLM outputs? Let's discuss in the comments! #LLM #AI #Python #PyConNigeria2024

Reflecting on my experience at Python Nigeria's Pycon Conference last week, I’m struck by the profound impact it had on my understanding and appreciation of Python. The opportunity to learn from veterans in the Python community has genuinely shifted my perception of the language and its vast range of applications. Each session was a deep dive into the strengths of different frameworks, highlighting their unique capabilities. Julius Boakye talk about Django Ninja was particularly enlightening. He discussed the framework in detail, emphasizing its strengths and the powerful features it offers for building efficient APIs. I also enjoyed Kafui Alordo session on starting and managing a community successfully. The insights shared were invaluable and have given me a clearer understanding of community management. The connections I made were equally enriching. I met and networked with GDSC leads and developers from various communities and countries, forming meaningful relationships. Working alongside the Black Python Devs team to promote the community was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Collaborating with such brilliant minds was both inspiring and motivating. PyCon was truly an eye-opener, revealing the numerous possibilities within the Python ecosystem. I am excited to leverage these newfound insights and connections to drive my personal and professional growth in the tech industry.
