  • JINGLE BELLS?? ANYONE? Christmas is here!! Well, it's still a few days away but we can as well say it's here already. If there's one thing we all know about Lagos this period, is that it will packed. Everyone wants to be 'outside' this Christmas so we can tell what the outside will look and feel like. Some of us who don't like stress will happily sit inside, enjoy our rent, eat food and have fun because a peaceful celebration is what we sometimes need. How many of you have already booked restaurants down in hopes of having a wonderful Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day? Well, we just said we should inform you to brace up for Lagos traffic because as the Gen Z's say, "e go too choke." But hey, who are we to stop your plans for fun? Anyway, Christmas is not only family time, it's also friends time. We all have people we are grateful for, who are like family to us. So, our question to you is, how are you spending Christmas this year? What are your plans? Are you going to be inside or outside with family? Or inside or outside with friends? Let's hear your Christmas plans in the comment section.

  • With every business you start, you have to be sure you’re solving a problem or people won’t see the importance in what you do and won't waste money on what you do either because it’s of no real value to them. Your business has to solve a problem. So, what problems does a ticketing agency solve? Imagine hosting an event and your hall is filled with more people than you invited. How annoying would that be? Many people hand out invites to admit people based on their invite, so if you didn’t get one or forgot yours at home, you will not be allowed to party with the others. In these types of events, we see bouncers at the entrance of the halls and the event venue, but bouncers can only do so much and that is why we have ticketing agencies. They regulate the crowd. That’s what every event needs. People regulating the crowd. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t have bouncers at your events, but you should also have a ticketing agency present. When you have a team of experts in charge of granting or denying entry into a venue, you can stress less about your guest being more than what you planned for and spend more time having fun. Ticketing agencies are not just there to make tickets, wristbands, or lanyards but are also there to regulate your events and remove the headache of wondering why your hall is overcrowded. So, if you're thinking of hosting an event and don't want a case of "what I ordered vs what I got" in terms if guest turnout, then make sure to have a ticekting agency present, along with bouncers cause some people move funny. Did you find this helpful or interesting? Leave comment and follow for more!!

  • Hearing people with angelic voices belt out Christmas hymns is one of the most beautiful things to hear. Christmas always makes people feel happier and hopeful as they look forward to a new year. Everyone has bigger dreams for the next year, making silent promises to themselves to do better the next year, chase that dream, get that job, or leave the country. Anyway, while some people will be ending the year in loud and grand styles at clubs or parties, other people prefer the slow quietness of listening to Christmas hymns and watching plays and reenactments of the birth of Christ. Are you the Christmas party type or are you the hymns and Christmas movies/play type? Let's hear your Christmas/New Year party plans!!

  • December is always, always choked up. There's never a time when people celebrate the year coming to an end on a calm note and we don't pray to see such. As much as everyone wants to be at every event and every party, it's still not an excuse to not give people time to remember. The one problem with people is they want as much crowd as they can get but they don't prepare for the crowd. They don't plan how to cater to the crowd. No one has fun at a party where everyone is in their personal space. Imagine not being able to breathe in fresh air but always having to breathe in someone sweat, or breathe. That doesn't look pretty. If you want to give people a December to remember, then do it the right way. You can start by looking for venues that can cater to a large crowd but still give people room and space to breathe and just do their own thing. Ensure you're not admitting more people than the hall can cater to or than you planned to cater to at your event. Let them remember your event for something good and not as "one of the worst events of 2024." What are you plans for your event this December? Are you planning to bite off more than you can chew at the expense of your attendees? If you want to know more about guest management, comment 'MORE' and we'll make a detailed post about it.

  • Some things are purely seasonal. Some things do extremely well during a particular season. This is the festive, Christmas/New Year Season and some business people would have capitalized on this to make money. One thing about this time of the year is the songs. From the first of December, well actually, late November, people are already playing Christmas songs and Christmas carols. We're not sure how the dynamics of being paid from music works, but we're sure some artists will be making a killing each Christmas.  Mariah Carey said she makes millions of dollars at the end of each year on her single Christmas hit, All I Want For Christma. Imagine making a song that is timeless and at the end of each year, makes you a killing. The next year is already set. Anyway, t'is the season to be jolly. What Christmas songs do you have on repeat to keep you in the Christmas mood? And what Christmas Carol do you think is the most popular? Let us know in the comment section.

  • The year is coming to an end so you can already expect the number of events that will be taking place back to back this month. It’s always a marathon of events, people are barely given time to rest, except for those who don’t like leaving their homes. After one event is another. Since we all know this is how December is, event planners with fully booked schedules should be prepared and ready so that no event suffers for the success of another. You’ll need to be everywhere and to keep yourself in the good books of those you’re working with. You’ll need each event to be a major success. One thing to never compromise on is to make sure you have the right team put together. You should always have a detailed and clear schedule so you don’t mix the dates up. Get an assistant if the work is too much for you. Imagine catering to another event on a day that has already been booked by a client a while back. That would just be a major disaster. You can kiss your referrals goodbye and expect nothing but bad reviews.  If you work independently, you should know that you’ll make more money through referrals than actively going out to market yourself. So, one bad review or working experience can mess things up for you, and we don’t want to start 2025 on a horrible note. For those who are the ‘we outside’ type of people, be sure to rest this festive period. We all know January is actually a year that is crammed into a single month. For the event planners who are heavily booked all through, be sure to have a proper schedule and a qualified team. You don't want to disappoint anyone during this period. The backlash would be out of this world. Everyone wants to throw an end-of-year party that would not be easily forgotten. In all, stay prepared. Send this to event planners you know. One of them might be on the way to disappointing someone and mixing dates up.

  • We are in the last month of the year and you can feel the hope and the joy in the air. It's almost contagious. So, as usual, we have something new to talk about. There are many traditions surrounding different festive periods. One Christmas/New Year tradition is the mistletoe. Did you know the infamous tradition of kissing under the mistletoe is rooted in Norse mythology? Norse mythology is a body of myths and tales that belong to the North Germanic peoples. The Nordics’ goddess Frigga, was mourning the death of her son Baldur and declared that the mistletoe had magical powers and would bring peace and love. This led to the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe. The custom of kissing under the mistletoe was later on popularized in England during the Victorian era after which it spread to other parts of the world, becoming a beloved Christmas/New Year's tradition. So, if you're a fan of mythology or believe in myths, then it'll cost nothing to try this tradition during Christmas or New Year's Day.

  • THE EVENTS OF EVENTS!! Weddings are the king of events. It's so immersive. The outfits, the decorations, the hall, the music, the food, the vibes. Honestly, weddings should be considered concerts. It's too much to just be the celebration of people tying the knot, it should be a concert of its kind. Moving on, at weddings, you'd want to capture the moment. From content creators making videos to upload for their fans, to professional photographers and videographers, there are people there, ready to capture the entire day. But, one thing we rarely see at weddings, especially Nigerian weddings is photo booths. People will do anything for a professional photo and a photo booth won't do the trick. Photo booths at weddings makes a whole lot of sense, but they fit a white wedding theme and not the traditional wedding setting. But hey, if you want to do something unconventional, then making a photo booth available at both white and traditional weddings would do the trick. The best part about having a photo booth is that it captures the excitement and the moment. Everyone wants a good professional photo so they won't really be themselves in front of the camera, especially when they know they have one of two picture slots. However, with a photo booth, you can go crazy, smile as wide as you want without a care, and just capture the feeling in that moment. This is not to say a professional photographer won't do that, but it's not the same as a photobooth. How many of us spot a camera coming our way and begin to align our bodies and faces so the cameraman can get our good angles? Exactly!! Anyway, this is just our opinion. Let us know what you'd use and why. PS: Tomorrow is owambe day, make your decision now so you can get there prepared!

  • It's mid-week and we alongside you are counting down the days to when Friday will come knocking. So, in honour of the video we are posting, we decided to share a random fact about Don Jazzy. Don Jazzy announced Mavin record in May 2012 and it's been a hit ever since. One of the major record labels in Nigeria, Mavin Records has produced a lot of major artists that we enjoy listening to and look forward to watching them perform their magic live on stage. Don Jazzy will always be a people fave from his old hits, to his signees, to his great attitude toward ex-signees. We've spoken enough, enjoy the mini-show.
