According to African Development Bank Group's data, Africa's textile and fashion industry employs the second largest number of people on the continent, just behind Agriculture. It is more attractive and accessible to the youth and women of the continent than Agriculture.  One way to unlock this industry is through technology, and that is what we seek to do with Stylebitt. At Stylebitt, we are building the digital infrastructure for modern fashion businesses.  We want to do for fashion what Adobe has done for design. We recently opened the call for fashion entrepreneurs to sign up to our priority list so that when we launch in the next quarter, they will be the first to know. If you know anyone who can streamline their business process and scale their enterprise through the products we are building, please share this video with them. They can sign up to our community at stylebitt.com.

Remember the days when fashion was just about brick-and-mortar stores and traditional runways? Today, technology is improving how fashion brands connect, create, and sell. From e-commerce, AI-powered trend forecasting to virtual showrooms and digital fashion exhibitions, the African fashion industry continues to evolve. Last year, the co-founder of Stylebitt , Precious Aleji, shared amazing insights on tech's impact in fashion. The conversation was eye-opening, and guess what? We are having more conversations about the intersection between fashion and tech at this year's edition of Fashion Law and Business Masterclass. 🌍 Theme: Innovate, Regulate, Educate: The New Paradigms in African Fashion 📍 Venue: Alliance Française de Lagos / Mike Adenuga Centre Register via the link-https://selar.co/9e4v22 #FLBC2024 #DigitalFashion #FashionLaw #FashionLawandBusinessConference #FashionLawandBusinessConference2024

This piece literally took 2 years to write. 2 years ago when we put up our pre-launch video on stylebitt.com, Modupe was one of the very first people to sign up. She followed the business, studied it, interviewed the founders several times and talked to our users. She developed an understanding of Stylebitt which runs almost as deep as what Ibrahim and I has developed. And then she wrote. The fourth estate is a key pillar of any successful industry and I'm glad Africa's fashion has a solid one in The Fashion Operator. Thank you, Modupe. Please give it a read or a listen. It is very thorough, and while you're at it, subscribe to The Fashion Operator. Link in comments.

🌍 Content consultant, strategist, writer & speaker solving problems for style-conscious brands #fashioncontentstrategy #fashioncontentconsultant #Africanfashionspeaker

🌍 African fashion has a data problem. The 2 main issues: 1️⃣ There isn’t enough useful economic data on African fashion, anywhere in the ecosystem. It’s improving in the small, easier-to-track formal sector, but the details of the huge, cash-intensive, informal sector are still largely a mystery. 2️⃣ The people and businesses that make up the ecosystem don’t generate enough useful data for themselves. 90% of African fashion is micro-small-and-medium sized businesses, and most of those would be categorised as informal trade. Far too many are flying blind when it comes to finances and operations. Enter Stylebitt, a Nigerian fashion-tech startup with an app that could solve both of these problems for good — learn how in today's edition of The Fashion Operator. Link is in the comments ⬇
