I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Google Project Management Professional Certificate from Coursera! It has been a long time coming, I had issues with my course 3 but I'm glad to announce that I've been able to resolve it. A big thank you to Munachiso Okoli, Tony Onuk and The RootHub for the scholarship and opportunity to make this possible. Let us do more in the coming years. #progress #certifications #projectmanagement

I transform Workforce Potential into Organizational Success | Expert in Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, and Culture Building.
As you may already know, I’m diving into the world of Business Intelligence (BI) Coursera through The RootHub, and I've encountered an interesting distinction between two key concepts: ETL and ELT. Both are data pipelines, but they couldn’t be more different in their approach. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) involves extracting raw data, transforming it into a usable format, and then loading it into a storage system. ELT (Extract, Load, Transform), on the other hand, flips the order - extracting the data, loading it into the system first, and then transforming it as needed. It’s a subtle shift, but it changes the dynamics of how data flows and is processed. This idea of distinct but complementary processes resonates with the dynamics of human resources. Employees and employers may work within the same organization, but they each play unique roles, with different needs, goals, and perspectives. Just as ETL and ELT represent two different methodologies for processing data, the relationship between employers and employees follows distinct paths that contribute to the overall success of the business. Understanding and appreciating these differences, whether in data management or people management, helps ensure smoother processes and more harmonious results. Recognizing individuality, whether in technology or teams, is key to effective coordination and leadership. #Day4of14 #LinkedinPowerup #14dayslinkedInpowerupwithAlice #Careergrowth #SocialDevelopment #HumanResources #BusinessIntelligence #Communityengagement. #wearetheroothub

Do you know what your audience knows? Over a year ago, I was invited to give an “inside scoop” on digital marketing at The RootHub as a practicing content marketer. When the day came, I stepped up, introduced myself, and began to speak about my expertise in content marketing. But as I scanned the room, I noticed blank stares trailing me like shadows. A few minutes in, I paused and asked, “What areas of digital marketing are you most familiar with?” *Crickets* I followed up, “Is anyone here interested in a career in digital marketing?” This time, a few shy hands went up. One tentative voice admitted they didn’t quite understand what digital marketing was but were curious to learn. That’s when it hit me—I’d completely misjudged their starting point. I’d assumed they had some foundational knowledge of the field, but in reality, they didn’t. So, right there and then, I pivoted. I shifted my lecture to focus on careers in digital marketing, and it completely changed the energy in the room. 💡 This experience taught me a valuable lesson: We often assume our audience knows what we know—or at least enough to follow along. Sometimes we’re right, but when we’re not, it’s essential to pivot. You launch a campaign or share content, assuming it will resonate, only to discover that you’ve misjudged your audience’s needs or level of awareness. So, what do you do when that happens? You adapt. In terms of content marketing… ✅ It isn’t just about creating—it’s about listening. Your content is a window into your business. It’s how you show your audience you truly understand them. ✅ It’s not just blogs and SEO anymore. Explore other mediums—videos, infographics, podcasts, and even interactive content—to tell your story in a way that reaches your audience where they are. ✅ Embrace the pivot. If something doesn’t land, don’t be afraid to change direction. Being agile isn’t a weakness—it’s a strength that keeps you aligned with your audience. At its core, content marketing is more than strategy—it’s a tool for creating meaningful connections. It’s not about the content itself, but the connection it creates. P.S. This was my first speaking event as a content marketer—talk about learning on the job!😅 What was your first speaking gig like? I’d love to hear your experiences below. 👇

Heading to My First International ICT Summit! as a #GlobalTechSis 😍 Happy to share that I'll be attending the Huawei Tech4Good Summit in Shenzhen, China 🇨🇳 this November! This is a huge milestone not just for me but for other fellows in Nigeria – just last year, I was feeling lost, burdened, and unhappy, asking myself endless questions about how to get back on track. Then, I stumbled upon a few opportunities, one of which was the 3MTT program. If you've been following my journey, you know how proud I am to be a part of this program. It’s truly been a game-changer, and as we wrap up the Cohort II of the program next week, I’ll be in China 🇨🇳 representing many fellows of the 3MTT Nigeria program and young Nigerians everywhere. It’s a dream come true – read the inscription on my shirt in the pictures, that was intentional. A big thank you to the amazing team at 3MTT Nigeria and to our Honourable Minister Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, who’s been so committed to making sure this program creates opportunities for young Nigerians. Our conversation in your office was inspiring, and your passion is contagious! You listened to our stories with so much intentionality that i was blown away. I've not seen many authentic leaders but i saw yours- your leadership is just the spark we need, and I'm so excited to see what’s next. To my beautiful and dedicated CM, Victoria Ndu, and the Akwa Ibom 3MTT community – thank you for the honor of representing our state. And to The RootHub – you’re doing phenomenal work. Thank you for your support! So buckle up – I'll be sharing every part of this journey with you, hoping my story inspires you to reach for more. P.S. Applications for 3MTT Cohort III are open! Don’t miss out on this free opportunity to be a part of something life-changing. Catch you all from China!

Last week Akwa Ibom was buzzing with innovators from all over Nigeria as we hosted 2 key events; #AkwaIbomTechWeek and Innovation Support Network - ISN Hubs Gathering! These key events has further cemented the state’s reputation as a vibrant and thriving (if I do say so myself) creative & technology ecosystem. It was a huge opportunity to showcase the ingenuity of Akwa Ibom’s Talents, our culture and the giant strides we have made over the years. It was great to meet and interact with The RootHub Alumni and community members, as we had some of them showcase their success stories in tech. The bus rides to and from the venue, was a networking goldmine and served as a reunion of sorts for everyone! To all ecosystem leaders who made this come true, our work shall speak for us as we continue the hard work of making Akwa Ibom the Creative Tech Talent base of Nigeria! UI/UX Designer | Crafting intuitive experiences that delight users. Let’s create something amazing! 🤝
One thing I learnt this year is that uncomfortable curves and twists can also lead to beautiful places. Last year I was at a job that tested me so much. My mental health was at stake. Early this year, I had to leave. But I had some good things happen to me there. First, I was introduced to the beautiful world of tech. UI/UX piqued my interest enough to include it to my vision board for 2024. The aim was to gather some funds and go learn UI/UX but stuff kept coming up…. Secondly, a colleague at this job introduced me to the 3MTT Nigeria program which I almost didn’t apply for, because “government stuff”. I reluctantly applied and took my mind off. Few months later, I got accepted into the cohort 2 of the program, and it’s been an amazing experience so far. I’ve found purpose. I’ve found a sense of fulfillment. I almost can’t put how I feel into words. I mean, I’m already participating in challenges on some design spaces. There’s so much potential. Hope. I sometimes feel I had to go through those uncomfortable turns just to get wind of the 3MTT Nigeria opportunity. I’m just grateful. So grateful. Thank you 3MTT Nigeria Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani The RootHub
