We are am thrilled to share with the LinkedIn community about an incredible initiative that took place to celebrate Children’s Day on Monday, May 27th, 2024. The Office of the Special Adviser on Special Assignment to Kano State Governor, in collaboration with Vertical Farm Ventures Ltd and American Space Kano, organized a training program on Climate Smart Horticulture for young children in Kano state.
It was an enriching and impactful experience as we witnessed the enthusiasm and curiosity of these young minds to learn about horticulture and modern organic farming techniques. The training aimed to equip these children with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute towards sustainable agriculture and a greener future.
Horticulture plays a vital role in our lives, helping to beautify our surroundings and providing us with fresh and healthy produce. By engaging our children in this field at an early age, we are fostering a strong connection with nature and empowering them to make a positive impact on the environment.

Through this collaborative effort, we not only provided valuable training to these children but also instilled in them a sense of responsibility towards the environment. They learned about the importance of conserving natural resources, planting trees, and adopting eco-friendly farming practices.
By nurturing their interest in horticulture and organic farming, we are sowing the seeds for a generation that is environmentally conscious and capable of driving change.
