As part of the IOM - UN Migration-funded Managing Migration through Development (MMDP) 2.0 Project, the IOM Nigeria team led by Acting Chief of Mission, Pace Paola, visited the Caritas Nigeria's male shelter in #Benin City yesterday, November 25. The visit aimed to assess recent IOM-supported modifications, including a recreational area, ramp construction, and internal partition renovations, all designed to raise the shelter to operational standards. During the visit, the IOM team commended Caritas Nigeria for maintaining a well-kept facility. The team also discussed strategies for #sustainability and enhanced #collaboration. Recommendations included improving #referral systems among #shelter providers and finding ways to sustain operations during financial constraints. The IOM team, which included Arshad Khan, Head of the Benin Sub Office, was warmly received by Barr.
