Today, we honour the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. We deeply care about this issue in our marketplaces. For instance, in Leboncoin.fr, we recently invited author Sarah Barukh, to share her powerful story and the amazing actions that she takes with her organisation 125 et Après. We also welcomed our colleague Alain Suze on stage, who bravely shared his personal story and commitment to the cause. Our Subito #WomeninTech community also marked the day by sharing a very comprehensive deck. The presentation combined anonymised testimonies from colleagues, key figures to raise awareness on the importance of taking collective actions and useful resources and contacts. This innovative campaign tackles "atticaphobia". A new condition that must explain why so many items are left unused in our attics! In line with the typical Belgian sense of humour, a famous Flemish actor plays a psychiatrist guiding the public through overcoming this phobia and encouraging them to sell, repair, or donate these items, giving them a second lease on life. This campaign is a huge step in the right direction, marking a substantial shift towards embedding reuse in broader discussions and public policy. ✨ Fantastic start to the first 'Facing the Future' session at the coches.net offices with students from the B-Excellent programme at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya 🚀 In this opening session, Carlos Rodrigo, Head of Business Unit, shared with the students how technology and innovation are transforming the automotive sector 🚗. Carlos remarked: "I discussed our team's daily operations, the tools we use to drive the business, and we had a practical case where students proposed a new service to expand coches.net." But that's just the beginning... two more sessions are on the way! One on #DataProducts and another on #Marketing, where they will continue to share their knowledge and experience with these future industry leaders. 💡 Thanks to UIC for making this possible and to the students for their energy and commitment! 👏

Today, Marktplaats unveiled 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭, a report celebrating the remarkable impact of its user community’s second-hand transactions in 2023. 🎉 An impressive 329,109 tonnes of CO₂eq emissions were potentially avoided thanks to the 350,000 daily listings on the platform—a powerful testament to the impact of second-hand choices. 🌱 As the circular economy grows, so does Marktplaats’ commitment to finding solutions that make choosing second-hand easy and impactful.
