Today we celebrate the retirement of our colleague Jos. With his dedication and expertise, he has been a key figure in maintaining our high-quality standards for many years. With full focus, he inspected the Seal rings, and his eye for precision and drive to deliver nothing but quality have greatly contributed to the success of AEGIR-Marine. During his speech for Jos, Ruud Muis shared beautiful memories. Like the day Jos was distracted by an injured bird. Instead of finishing his work, he decided to build a birdhouse. That story perfectly illustrates Jos' heart and dedication. Jos can take it easy, with probably even more time for his musical guitar playing in the band. We are happy that he will continue to work with us for two days a week in addition to this. Jos, thank you for everything. You have left an impressive mark on AEGIR-Marine. Over the years, you have made a significant contribution to the development of our company, the team, and our knowledge. We have started the overhaul of this Azimuth Thruster US255 x 2 and Tunnel Thruster TT-1850 x 2. The dismantling is in full swing and we are moving along nicely. We applied for B Corp certification a couple of months ago. This means that we are currently in the ‘assessment phase’, during which every aspect of our business operations will be evaluated. This includes a deep-dive analysis into our CO₂ emissions; something that we’ve been measuring since 2021. AEGIR-Marine’s road to B-Corp is open and transparent.
