Brilliant effort by our colleagues in Thailand, who helped paint a more colorful future for a community in Thailand. A total of 180 volunteers from several sites and offices (including Chonburi and Samut Sakhon) recently repainted the Rak Thale bridge near the coast of Bangkok. Used daily by hundreds of locals and tourists, it’s part of a pedestrian and cycling route which extends for three kilometers. Around 600 liters of our Dulux and International products were used, including our 2025 Color of the Year, True Joy. Learning to paint boats and yachts just got a whole lot easier. We now use virtual reality in our paint application training courses, which helps us teach all the necessary skills – without initially applying a single drop of paint. The portable equipment is suitable for both novices and professional applicators who want to refine their techniques. It allows users to view the results of their virtual handiwork, find out how much paint was used, see the application time and the costs involved. Every layer can tell a story – especially when it’s the exterior of a building. So it’s great to see our partnership with Artscape in Sweden go beyond the usual urban setting and embrace new environments. These vibrant murals have been created with our Nordsjö products in the municipalities of Bromölla, Kristianstad, Kävlinge and Ystad. The artists took their inspiration from other art forms, such as music, sculpture and photography.
