The British Mycological Society and the International Society for Mycotoxicology have together established the annual Naresh Magan Lecture Award in honour of the late Professor Magan’s major contributions to the fields of fungal ecology, fungal physiology, plant pathology, and mycotoxin research. The award of up to € 1,250 will support an early-career researcher (up to 6 years post-doctorate) to give an oral presentation at an international conference, on an impactful topic in the field of fungal ecology, fungal physiology, plant pathogens or mycotoxins. In 2025, the Naresh Magan Lecture Award will be presented at the 15th conference of The World Mycotoxin Forum® in Salzburg, 7-9 April. How to apply for this award? Recognizing that the results of some high impact research were not available by the general abstract submission deadline (1 July 2024), The World Mycotoxin Forum® offers an option for late-breaking abstracts for oral presentations. Late-breaking abstracts are defined as: ’Highly significant and timely findings in mycotoxin research that were not available by the regular abstract submission deadline’. Interested participants from universities, research institutes, industry, and other organizations are strongly encouraged to submit late-breaking abstracts. Submission deadline: 15 January 2025.
