Grand year-end celebration for 50 years of engineering in the Middle East! 🎉 The #engineering team from Bilfinger Middle East recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in the region with a grand year-end event in Abu Dhabi. The event brought together colleagues from the UAE and their families, embracing the #TeamBilfinger spirit. The event featured sports, game stalls, children's activities, and cultural performances by our own talented colleagues. Creating vibrant and lasting memories together. A huge thanks to all for their motivation and enthusiasm to make this event a great success. Here's to creating more memories together!

🌬️ Bilfinger Supports Romcim in Developing a New Wind Farm at Medgidia Cement Plant 🌬️ We are happy to announce our collaboration with ROMCIM, a CRH company, in the successful completion of a new wind farm at the Medgidia Cement Plant in Romania. This project, which began in mid-2023, marks a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions. 🔹 Project Highlights: Location: Medgidia Cement Plant, approximately 30 km from the Black Sea coast Capacity: 30 MW with an estimated annual production of 80 GWh Impact: Reducing over 40,000 tons of CO2 annually Bilfinger Engineering & Maintenance Eastern Europe provided comprehensive Owners Engineering services, including project management, design, construction, and health and safety coordination. Our team’s expertise and dedication were key to the project’s success. Macarov Vasile, our representative, shared his enthusiasm: “After several attempts to collaborate with Romcim, we are delighted to have them in our portfolio. Our technical expertise and successful past projects instilled confidence in our client. Recently, Pavel delivered a successful lecture at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) on fire safety, receiving outstanding feedback from students. His dedication and expertise continue to inspire and educate the next generation of professionals. Based on long-term collaboration, Pavel’s skills and knowledge, he was approved as a member of the doctoral thesis committees some time ago. This year, he once again contributed to the defense of doctoral theses, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence. 🔧 Bilfinger Contributes to Stabilizing the Czech Transmission System! ⚡ We have been selected by the energy group UCED to implement the project for the construction of the second unit of the power plant in Prostějov. This project is crucial for balancing power in the Czech transmission system and supporting the growing volume of renewable energy. 💡 Key Project Points: - Power Plant Capacity: Increase from 58 MW to 108 MW - Investment: 1 billion CZK from UCED of the Creditas investment group - Technology: 50 MW turbine from General Electric, capable of switching to full operation within 5 minutes - Energy Efficiency: Optimization of gas pressure and injection of demineralized water to reduce NOx emissions “We draw on years of experience from large international projects and bring valuable know-how to the project in all its phases. Thanks to the complexity of our services, we accompany the investor from the start of the project to commissioning,” says Martin Dittrich, energy expert at Bilfinger Engineering. The project is divided into three phases: design, preparation of tender documentation, and construction. The turbine installation is now being completed, and we will soon start trial operation.
