“The tech world can be intimidating, especially for women, but don’t let anyone make you second-guess your instincts,” says climate tech founder, Rana Hajirasouli. She started The Surpluss | Certified B Corp, the world’s first B2B platform for sharing surplus resources. “That’s the vision behind The Surpluss – to reallocate excess resources in an efficient way to help businesses thrive, not just survive,” says Rana. Her advice to women is not to shy away from taking up space and expressing their opinions, even if it is against the grain. “I believe in failure when we are just paying lip service to sustainability. For me, it is about integrity—knowing I didn’t cut corners to get there," she says. To find out more about her inspiring journey and her challenges, read our Q&A: https://lnkd.in/dXvRrMWx

“When you have balance in your life, work becomes an entirely different experience. There is a passion that moves you to a whole new level of fulfillment and gratitude, and that’s when you can do your best, for yourself and for others,” says model and actress Cara Delevingne. But here’s the truth: self-care takes discipline. Start by visualizing what it looks like for you in 2025. Create a self-care vision board with these steps: 1️⃣ Ask the Right Questions What energizes you? What activities do you find therapeutic? What motivates you? 2️⃣ Find Your 2025 Mantra Choose a mantra or affirmation to guide you. Examples: ✨ I am grateful always. ✨ I believe in abundance and love. ✨ I am disciplined. 3️⃣ Set SMART Self-Care Goals Use the SMART framework to make your self-care actionable. Example: Reduce screen time by 50%. Install an app blocker and put your phone away by 8 PM each night. Self-care is an ongoing journey, but a vision board helps you stay focused and committed to your habits. Do you you feel stuck in your career? Here is the best career advice for women in 2025. 📍 1) Create a career vision board Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? What is your ideal job? Focus on key concepts like “female CEO” or “respected leader.” Find photos that symbolize your dream career and life. 📍 2) Create A Personal Mission Statement (And Stick to It) A personal mission statement can help you show up at work in a way that is intentional and aligned with your values. For example, "“To be a teacher. And to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be.” – Oprah Winfrey 📍 3. Be Self-Aware (Focus on Your Strengths) All the best leaders are emotionally intelligent, which begins by understanding your own emotions and their impact on your work performance and relationship. Ask yourself: When do I feel confident? When do I feel unsure of myself? How would other people describe me? 📍 4. Be Vulnerable (It is Scary But Exciting) When you are vulnerable, you are brave and you can create real connections with people. Thought leader and social worker, Brené Brown, says vulnerability, value, and trust can help us be exceptional leaders. 📍 5.
