Our team at ChemBizR had the privilege to attend India Energy Week (IEW) 2025, represented by Nitika Nagar and Tejas Chaudhari. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss how India is balancing economic growth with sustainability. Key discussions revolved around green hydrogen, battery storage, and biofuels, highlighting innovations driving the country’s energy transition. Companies showcased their latest advancements in energy solutions. GAIL (India) Limited presented its 500 KT PP project, set to begin by December 2025. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Iocl) demonstrated its organic waste to compressed biogas value chain, emphasizing how waste can be repurposed into new energy. Linde focused on gray hydrogen, projecting demand growth and cost-effectiveness. Oil India Limited / ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड, in collaboration Ohm Cleantech Pvt Ltd, introduced a hydrogen storage system using Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technology. Shell unveiled its X30 sensor, a key attraction at the event, while STASSKOL GmbH, a 105-year-old compressor company, showcased its expertise in energy solutions. India’s energy transition is at a crucial stage. The country aims for 50% renewable energy by 2030, with a commitment to installing 500 GW of clean energy capacity.
